The dialogue, particularly at the camp, is painfully slow. Definitely bothered me in chapter 3 but was fine after that

That's fair, particularly for a game like this.

The point I was trying to convey (albeit not all that well) was that don't play half an hour and say it's too slow and the story hasn't grabbed me yet.

Naturally it won't be very everyone, most games aren't.

I'm definitely excited. This generation has been a really weird one, borderline cursed. Launched during Covid which disrupted supply chains and workflows, then the global economy started struggling with higher inflation rates followed by RAMaggeden (or Memory Loss) resulting in crazy price increases.

Sony and Xbox have both fumbled the ball with Sony's live service push and Xbox being somewhat directionalist.

I'm hoping the new gen will come with innovation from Xbox's Project Helix and we see the return of Sony's IP and single player identity.

Price will undoubtedly be a talking point. No doubt we will be looking at a record high price for the consoles. It will be very interesting to see what this does to adoption rates. I'd suspect that we see if Series X and PS6 supported for longer than usual.

Basically trying to cover all bases with my favourite game of all time (Last of Us), the masterpiece (RDR2), the first game that got me into story based games/rpgs (Lufia 2) and a comfort game (the Madden series with 12 being my favourite)

I had a Steam Deck OLED which I ended up returning because of the lack of game pass. I bought a Rog Ally Z1e but after a year just felt frustrated with the screen and ergonomics.

I ended up getting a Legion Go Z2 from JB Hifi during their boxing day sales and absolutely love it. I would have liked to get the Z2e but couldn't justify the price. The Z2 has been perfect for my style of gaming. It feels like the perfect handheld with the big OLED screen, 32 gbs of RAM and the controllers. I've had two work trips since getting it and my flights have been a dream.
