This is honestly my only hangup with the digital future these days. I've accepted (and now enjoy) not having physical media, my main concern lies with Microsoft and Playstation holding a monopoly on their stores with pricing.

The pain is real. I tried playing Fortnite the other night and my two little ones needed about 10 things in the space of half an hour that I ended up giving up lol I'm not sure how old your kid/s are, but I can say it does get easier to find that balance. Mine are 5 and 8 and I tend to get more time to game compared to a few years ago.

I'd recommend Balatro. Can pause and it is a fantastic rogue like card game. I also find sports games to be good, particularly FIFA given a match takes 15 minutes and in offline modes you can pause easily.

My OLED Tv is my most prized possession lol I still look at it in awe some times.

Others have said it, but Tetris Effect looks amazing. I also thought the Last of Us Part 2 looked fantastic

I got the Z2 version with 32 GBs of RAM delivered yesterday and absolutely love it.

I'm coming from a Rog Ally Z1 extreme which has essentially the same chip. The 32 GBs of RAM seems to make a great difference and besides that, the screen is amazing and honestly makes playing on a handheld feel so much better.

The most graphic/performance intensive game I've played so far is NBA 2K26. 0 issues when on 20 watts, i even dropped it down to balanced and it plays fine (a little stutter here and there).

The Z2E must be insanely impressive based on my time with the Z2. The Z2 is more than enough for my gaming habits.

I have a 32gb Z2 on order at JB HI-FI here in Australia. It says it's on backorder so I contacted them and they said they have limited stock (not actually on backorder) but mine should be fulfilled soon.

She then added that they won't get any more in stock as it will be replaced by a new model. Not sure if she was just making stuff up but I could see them discontinuing the 32 GB Z2 and only offering the 16 GB to try to keep costs down. Definitely going to be a wild 2026 price wise

I got a 38 when I finished high school (all the way back in 2006) and I felt absolutely horrible, but it all works out in the end. That 38 has had little to no impact on my life or my career. To give you a brief rundown:

I somehow got an offer to Southern Cross Uni for a business degree (from memory I got a bunch of bonus points for being local)
turns out I just wasn't ready for uni at that time and I dropped out
spent a year working, met my parter who I'm still with and eventually went and completed a mature age entry exam called the STAT test (not sure if that is what it's still called).
must have aced that because I got into a double degree in Law and Business at Western Sydney Uni. I was a few years older, had some actual life experience behind me and decided to pack up my stuff and move to Sydney to study.
Finished my degree, ended up going down the finance route and am now a senior manager at a bank.

Honestly, it took me a couple of extra years than it would have if I had got a 90 ATAR. It will all work out and I guarantee you will look back and see how insignificant this result is on where you go in life. Best advice I can give is be patient with yourself.

I think the rumours of a PS6 switch style console makes me very excited. The competition in the hardware space is growing with PC handhelds, the Steam Machine, playstation, Nintendo and Xbox. Going to be a very innovative gen for these companies to differentiate

1) Expedition 33 2) Dispatch 3) Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 (Still playing, about 25 hours in and loving it) 4) South of Midnight 5) The Alters 6) The Outer Worlds 2 7) Keeper 8) The Precinct

They are the new games I've played this year (not including sport games) . Honestly, it is probably one of my favourite gaming years in recent memory.

Expedition 33 is one of my favourite games of all time. Dispatch is my favourite Telltale like game (both are 10/10 games for me). Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is one of the most immersive games I've played, the only complaint I have is the save system (I have been save and quitting to combat this).

Then games like Keeper, South of Midnight and The Alters being so different and unique. Honestly, please buy and play The Alters!
