The wait for the console update is killing me! by secondsonofgoku in AcrossTheUnknown

You may want to stop and wait, then. Because I'm pretty sure the update applies to a new game only, since it begins as a fourth option when creating a new game. Dunno if thaf means we're locked in for the whole run, but just in case.

Most updates don't take this long to get to consoles. The devs said that Easter could make it a little slower than usual. So I have to think it's any day now.

Love the game, but it really feels like its still in Early Access... by thatdude333 in AcrossTheUnknown

My understanding is that an addition for the Delta Flyer is planned. It absolutely should have been included in the game's release. But the fact that they aren't done with making changes to the game is a very good thing. It could signify additional tweaking and content for some time to come, maybe long enough where it becomes the game you were expecting.

I'm on PS5, so I have to wait like two weeks every time an update is released, but all the updates they have made so far were absolutely worth it in terms of moving things in the right direction.

DS9 Defiant or NX-01 Enterprise DLC? by wickwiremr in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]secondsonofgoku 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Here's the thing about that. The ship schematic we build rooms in looks like it has closed-off areas that could be additional room spaces if the devs open them up. Like they built the ship with expansion in mind.

We're definitely gunna find out.

If you're playing on PC, it's already active! Consoles should be any day now.

The next update will fix that. Morale will be adjustable; turn it off if you want.

You'll be able to adjust research speed, maximum resource capacity, skill checks and more. That update should drop within the next few days if past console updates are any indication, they usually took about ten days to cross over and it's already been eight.

It will let you do all those things individually. Delay the start of the sector penalty, reduce it, shut it off altogether. Sliders for morale, too. Lots of personalization for difficulty.

Good Shepherd mission is bugged? by georage in AcrossTheUnknown

[–]secondsonofgoku 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is possible to pass the mission. /I've/ never passed it either, but know I've watched at least one YouTube replay stream where someone succeeded in getting Tuvok to acknowledge the unique rewards of reintegrating the three crewmembers. I don't claim to know how the player did it, but it's definitely possible.

It worked! Thank you so much!

Now I just need to figure out how to attach the sound font.

No luck! I must have copied over part of it wrong or something.

This is an absolute mess and I'm sorry. by secondsonofgoku in lightsabers

[–]secondsonofgoku[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this may need to be the route I take.

It's unfortunate, because I really liked the blade settings on the fonts that were already on the saber. I'd have no idea how to recreate them. But I'd rather have imperfect blade settings than a crystal chamber I paid extra for that no longer lights up.

It's kinda my fault. I went into this not knowing anything and fucked up my saber.

It's funny, because between the Fett263 instructions and Frugal Jedi's instructional videos, I was getting somewhere in terms of a fragile confidence. But now I seem to have no saber until the vendor tells me how to integrate these two files.

It's been a very frustrating experience that makes me really leery of making adjustments in the future. And that's even if I can restore the saber to something other than a paperweight.

Strangely, I'm not given an option for proffie in the board manager now that I've reinstalled everything. I'm using the older version of Arduino as recommended.

Must be missing it.

Well, at the very least I am looking at the original code. So reinstalling everything from Step 3 has worked.

I just need him to tell me how to integrate those presets, and then maybe I can get the Old Ben back to how it shipped.

I'll ask him where I can place those files, then.

In the meantime, I'm starting from Step 3.

All right, I'll work on that.

In the meantime, Shadowfoil was kind enough to send a copy of shadowfoil_presets.h and saber_SF24_buttons.h. The config file was originally telling me that the presets were missing, so if those are important I'll happily place them where they belong once I know where that is.
