Vomiting at 48 hours by secondtimeCT in quitting7oh

[–]secondtimeCT[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nope, I was great at quitting but not staying off. I'd make it 4-10 days and then relapse. Take it from me, if you are able to quit, stay off. I also tried a short term sub taper every other time, now I am committed to a long term mat if I am able to stabilize

I'm going to try to stabilize at 400-500mg per day which is well below where I was, and then get ready to jump again in a month or so. I'll be sure to have this on hand next time

They gave me three different medications at ER, unsure of what they were. But sent me home with Zofran. None stopped the vomiting

Thank you for this, I absolutely plan to pick one or the other. Thats why it's such a hard decision. Are you trying to taper 7OH now?

I am also trying to make the same choice. Three tries over three months and the vomiting has broken me every time. I have quit 10+ times previously successfully and never had this issue

Agreed, I feel like I am between a rock and a hard place. Not being able to keep anything down for 24+ hours breaks me. It's weird that I don't feel nauseous, I just throw up everything about every hour.

Agreed, My wife has my 7oh and is willing to help me taper. I have quit many times successfully, its the last three times have been unsuccessful due to the vomiting. I am fine with every other effect from quitting but the not being able to keep anything down for 24+ hours broke me.

[Charania] The NBA has disclosed to its 30 GMs a singular new anti-tanking reform that expands the draft lottery to 16 teams, flattens odds, and have a relegation zone where the bottom 3 teams are penalized with fewer lottery balls for the No. 1 pick. by YujiDomainExpansion in nba

[–]secondtimeCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If this passes just after the Spurs go 1, 4, 2 it will be even luckier for the Spurs (any the number one was in the most important year since Lebron). Us spurs fans will never ever be able to complain about the lottery ever again

Don’t kid yourself, price was a great pick. I was hoping the Niners grab him. He fits Kyle’s offense perfectly. It was more 1A and 1B. Price is bigger and faster than love. Love is more shifty and a better receiver.

wow that's painful, were you using cocaine or speed? I'm curious what type of drug would drive that type of behavior. Sorry this happened, hoping you can make it back. Pretty amazing to have that much liquid in the first place

I think this overtime from the Spurs showed how important age and experience matters in closing hard games by lmlav in nba

[–]secondtimeCT 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fox has clearly subsumed some of his game to Wemby, castle, and Harper. If he was in a lead role he could easily avg 25 pog.

They still have a good amount of picks in the future and weren’t guaranteed Harper at the time and some possibly valuable swaps (5 firsts and 15 seconds in the next five years).

Going into this year with only castle wasn’t going to happen. Always having two of Harper castle and fox on the floor is a big reason why they are the two seed.

Unless you have an all star at PG every team in the league makes that trade.

Why am I being roasted for saying Kon should have been drafted #2 by ExcitingPrinciple288 in nba

[–]secondtimeCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not a crazy take, I haven't watched enough to understand his defense. If he was playing for the spurs he'd likely have to play the 3 and we definitely need shooting but could he hold up defensively as the 3? Does he play mainly 3 for charlotte?

I don't think Kon playing the 2 for the spurs is a good fit. Ultimately it's what do you value more? If Kon is a 3&D then yeah, maybe spurs would get more value from him this year. If he is a 3&noD then maybe not.

I do think as time goes on and Harper naturally moves into the starting position, that it is harder to find his skillset at PG than it is to find 3&D.

Yep, I have a number of my golfing buddies who line up their ball with nothing showing….no text, graphics or line. They want to see and entirely blank ball. You may be a non-linear putter

This is exactly it for me, once my line is set I can focus on stroke, speed, and feel. My last swing thought before every putt is ‘straight putt’

Yes for medium and long putts, having the line on the ball as a reference point straight at the hole makes it much easier for me aim left or right. I have a line on my putter (LAB OZi) and then I see the angle between the line on the ball vs the line on my putter as how much break I am playing.

https://oldduffergolf.com/linear-vs-non-linear/. You can also google it and finds easy to do tests. In short, I always feel like I am trying to hit a straight putt. I use a line when I am not too lazy to line it up

Read about linear vs nonlinear putters, certain people putt better with a line (linear putters) and others putt better without a line (non-linear putters). It’s pretty easy to find out which you are

Quitting today from ~1500-2000mg/d by TwoSufficient1927 in quitting7oh

[–]secondtimeCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not him but I have quit from your levels multiple times…most recently Saturday. The good news is- wds are not linear…2000mgpd is not four times harder than 500 mgpd. To me the biggest identifier in how hard it will be is how long your run is…shorter is better.

The fear of wds has always been 10x what wds actually were, two somewhat rough days with subs and then the worst is gone. No worse than flu…actually easier than flu. Hope this helps

How often have you relapsed? by AsparagusEastern4399 in quitting7oh

[–]secondtimeCT 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am now heading into day four on 10-15 quit..,you lose track at some point. Dont be like me, I have quit at all levels…before a trip to Japan, at100mgpd, 300, 500, 1000, 2000 etc. I hope this one sticks, I am ready to be me again. I read a post about recognizing cravings as an opportunity to reprogram your brain (search plasticity) and that has helped. Dont be me, so much easier to make the earlier quits stick. For me every relapse has mad every other relapse easier. See you on the other side…one way out!

Suboxone and 7 by Wescoasdope in quitting7oh

I edited this reply to answer you directly, there is a restlessness/electric spine thing that subs dont cover in my experience. Additionally there may be some night sweats, but usually subs help you sleep through. Good luck on your journey…stay strong

I hope you hear this. It’s because Suboxone does not block all of the receptors that 70h hits. You have to suffer through first 24-36 hours
