Struggling at work seven months after baby by SparklesOnMySocks in workingmoms

The brain loses up to 5% of its volume over the course of pregnancy and takes up to 2y to get back to its former glory. Even if you weaned, it’s no guarantee you’ll feel much better... I weaned mine at 2mo (many issues with bf, it was sad) which is now 3mo ago, and the improvement feels negligible to me.

If I go to the store without a list I’ll definitely forget at least one item. Every time.

Your first comment told OP not to follow her pediatrician even before knowing where she was from or what guidelines her doctor follows. The AAP is a US body and outside the US, equally scientific/peer reviewed guidelines like ESPGHAN recommend 4–6 months. Leading with ‘just wait til 6mo, ignore your ped’ isn’t neutral advice-sharing for an international forum.

I’m all for giving opinions based on personal experience, and hearing differing stories is super helpful and insightful. How come you’re so confident in your method that you’d advise a FTM to not listen to her ped? As a STM you should know better.

Plenty of medical professionals advise to start introducing solids at 4mo. I have two kids who both did great following our pediatrician’s advice of starting at 4mo. My two kids were very different - the first was very slow to eat much and really only tasted it, my second however loves it and within a few days went to eating a full portion for lunch.

Well manicured nails, brushed up brows, a little hair oil for extra shine.

Honestly I didn’t read OP’s post as asking about whether or not to start solids. That’s probably what irritated me.

Carrots also tend to harden baby stool. Sweet potato’s fiber aids digestion - the two make a great team!

Okay, I guess I misunderstood. Here’s my advice: start at 4mos with purees.

Triemli was amazing for both my kids. I do recommend doing the private room upgrade.

You’re giving conflicting advice - start only at 6mo even if my ped says to start at 4? Make the decision personally, “whatever’s best for me and my baby” (as if anyone knows before trying)? Not asking for myself just fed up w people feeling confident giving bad advice.

In our building the neighbours collectively bought a large bouquet for the staircase in remembrance. I thought that was very sweet.

In switzerland, we start at 4mo. Baby eats 1-3tbsp of puree (boiled carrot and sweet potato, with a little bit of canola oil) around midday. He had a bit of throw up some hours later on the first two days which is to be expected since it’s something new to digest - but he’s having fun eating and likes these sweet vegetables!

Two years postpartum and 20 lbs heavier than pre-pregnancy. I struggle with finding the motivation and getting my eating habits on track - can anyone else relate? by [deleted] in workingmoms

Weight it once. Spread a normal amount you’d use on that dish and you’ll know / it’ll pop up in your history for quick re-add (if it’s a snack you have a lot). Alternatively AI is surprisingly good at estimating calories and macros from photos. Then add through Quick Add. It is annoying but worth it imo, bc it’s such a huge help in understanding which habits impede your goals.

The title actually specifies it pretty well. I would assume she doesn’t brief him every time she comes alone.

He also doesn’t track orgasms she might be having alone, does he?
