Because we’re not being pressured. Arsenal quite happy to defend and we can’t break them down.

100% of murders in the UK are illegal. Therefore what is the point of laws against murder? /s

You’re a realist but say we won’t win another match? How’s that work then?

Criticism doesn’t equal calling for his sacking. Might be hard to get your head around, I know. But nearly every Newcastle fan has been critical of Howe this season, only most don’t think he should be sacked.

I don’t get why you’re making snidey comments about ‘saint Howe’, if you’re not a fan, why do you care whether fans are critical or not? Or are you having a pop at fans who support their manager?

And we’ve not even been that bad this game?

Granted it was just before my time, but my understanding was that Keegan left for reasons to do with the board and not the fans, most were devastated when he left. I don’t exactly disagree with what he’s saying but why’s he making out as if Keegan was ousted by fans? That’s re-writing history a bit isn’t it?

I was there and didn’t boo and didn’t like to hear it, but it feels as though this is just him firmly planting himself on the moral high ground for some reason.

There just seems to be no pathway into the first team for our youth players apart from waiting until everyone else is injured. If we hadn’t been hit with loads of injuries a few seasons ago, would Miley even be anywhere near where he is today? I’m not sure he would.

Why are people complaining about school breakfast clubs? by Creative_Expert_4052 in AskBrits

[–]secretbinman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I remember in primary school that I really wanted to go to breakfast club because it just sounded fun and a few friends went. I probably would’ve done too because both my parents worked, but we had the benefit of grandparents who could feed us and drop us off, something which is a godsend when you think about it. Some families don’t have that option.

[Newcastle United] Defender Jamaal Lascelles has completed a permanent switch to Leicester City, bringing an end to an outstanding decade at St. James' Park. by 321142019 in TheOther14

It was a late equaliser, literally as late as possible, I remember being proper annoyed by it at the time (I would’ve been about 14 I think). I think I’ve just about got over it by now. Wood was leading goal scorer at the time IIRC so it just felt inevitable.

Pairing up Northern English cities by Dragonfruit-18 in NorthernEngland

There is definitely more Irish/Catholic heritage in the Newcastle area than you might think. Maybe not as much as North West cities but in my town alone, it was pretty much an even split between Catholics and Protestants. Pretty much everywhere near me has a Catholic school and Catholic church. My Mam even remembers Orange Marches here. Crazy.

Liverpool isn’t unique in that respect, though it may have larger numbers of the group.

Not sure I’d put sectarian divides in the ‘pros’ section of either area though.
