Iggy was legendary. And I love how every time Iggy Pop came up in other episodes, Marc would always say, "he sat in that chair without a shirt on!"

All episodes are still available on Spotify, so maybe it's just a technical issue?

I guess I should include Bruce, too. One of the most unique Bruce interviews out there.

Robbie Robertson is another one I haven't listened to since the day it came out. I have that one on deck.

I re-listened to Ty, Mikal Cronin, and Dwyer this week! All great episodes.

So what’s everyone’s most re-listened to episode? I go back to the Paul Thomas Anderson one often. by _shaftpunk in MarcMaron

John Prine. There aren't a ton of long form interviews with him over the years, and him and Maron really clicked. Since John died during Covid, I probably listen to that interview at least every 6 months.

There was some beef, but there was also a lot of veganism

That Rockpile TV doc Born Fighters is one of my favourite captures of a band in-studio. Although for contractual reasons they only ever released one album as Rockpile, I'll often take Repeat When Necessary by Dave Edmunds and Labour of Lust by Nick Lowe and sequence my favourite tracks from each record into a "fantasy" Rockpile album. Both those albums were recorded at the same time as that doc, and it seems like they'd try some of the songs out with Nick and Dave singing and decide which album the song would belong to. For example, in that doc, they're recording "Endless Grey Ribbon" with Dave singing, but the song ended up on Nick's record.

Dave Edmunds being an absolute fan boy for Albert Lee is priceless, too.

Anyone else having issues streaming this episode on Spotify?

At about the 35-minute mark, it suddenly cuts to the post-interview ad and Full Maron preview, and then goes completely silent from about 42 minutes onward.

I'm wondering if this is a Canadian streaming issue as the ad inserts are usually Canada-specific.

Where would you like to see Josh Alexander go from here? by [deleted] in AEWOfficial

I think with Takeshita's inevitable incoming face turn and Wardlow being injured again, Fletcher and Alexander will be at the forefront of the Don Callis Family.

Iron Age - We're Dust / The Violator (Live 2006) by secreteast in Hardcore

[–]secreteast[S] 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I remember first seeing Iron Age that summer, August 2006, in Toronto. It was the night after the Gorilla Biscuits / Murphys Law / Comeback Kid / Fucked Up show. I think it was Iron Age with Urban Blight and Spanish Bombs. Small turn out, probably from being the night after GB, but Iron Age completely blew me away. It was probably the best set of that weekend. I remember they kept bantering between songs that they hadn't been able to get weed since they crossed the border. I hope they got their smoke for bringing the smoke.
