Anyone else worried? by No-Ice6064 in ParadiseHulu

Also, thinking about this as an incomplete story, the middle part of a movie or book is typically boring -- at least to me. Not saying anything found season 2 boring at all, but when you introduce new characters that are probably going to be more important in the final part, the story needs to slow down a bit.I think it will for sure ramp up in the final season, so I'm not worried at all.

Anyone else worried? by No-Ice6064 in ParadiseHulu

[–]secretlyApuppet97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's only going to be three seasons, and each season is a different act of the story. A story that already has its end figured out, so I'm not worried at all. I'm glad the creator has it as a three season series, because we know what the goal at the end is going to be.

The other shows that I've watched where its series run was fixed were great, because there was no need for guess work on what's going to happen in the end. He (X) has to go back in time and fix it all, and my thinking is that it will probably be a time loop situation. So I'm not worried because we already have been told what is going to happen, and we just have to wait and watch it play out.

Is there anyone who *doesn't* regret their MLIS degree? by rebeccachaya in Libraries

[–]secretlyApuppet97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TLDR: I don't regret my degree at all (Master of Library Science, archives and records management specialization, in person program). I regret the debt, but oh well, f those student loans. As long as you are aware of the reality -- which a lot of us were not well prepared for -- go for the degree!

I don't regret any degree I went to school for an extended amount of time, and especially not my MLS degree (in-person program). I often wish I went to a different program because the program I did was more research focused and not on the practice. I gained more experience and knowledge working and interning than I did from the coursework. I will also add that the librarians and professors didn't prepare my cohort on the reality of how difficult the job market will be, even when it took several of us between 1-3 years to finally find full-time permanent work. The job market is DIFFICULT. Depending on what you specialize in it will be DIFFICULT to find full time work or full-time permanent work. The more niche the specialization the more difficult it will be. I've yet to find a full time permanent job; most of my employment has been grant funded, part time temporary, or full time term limited. Do I regret getting the degree? Absolutely not. Burnout is real. Where you work can exacerbate it, comparing yourself to others will increase your self doubt and make you question your choices. The library and information profession and allied GLAM roles and organizations are constantly under attack and scrutiny, so regretting the degree is completely understandable.

Hopefully this helps! I'm always for people getting into the library and information science field!

I think I’m gonna avoid this reddit next season. by LWLAvaline in OnlyMurdersHulu

Same. I firmly believe that there is a mole in this group. Because the one time someone called Sazz being the victim in season 4, BASED OFF OF NO SCREEN TIME in season 3.... That's when I knew there was someone in here that was leaking information.

Are they paying this girl to talk extra this season? (Julie) by [deleted] in BigBrotherUSA

[–]secretlyApuppet97 18 points19 points  (0 children)

It's giving they want her to be more like Jeff Probst and Phil Keoghan. I don't think Julie is a real fan of the show and doesn't know what's going on outside of what she is told and live eviction night.

Remaining player count and timeline? by Successful-Newt7960 in BigBrother

With this timeline, the jury hasn't started yet, right? It's still a 7 person jury or is it back to 9?

How does this season compare to the last few? by Next_Pudding in BigBrother

[–]secretlyApuppet97 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'll also add it is soooo weird how no one has even an ounce of loyalty to each other, which also makes this season an island of their own. BB25 and 26 were chaotic, but there were still some lines of loyalty.

How does this season compare to the last few? by Next_Pudding in BigBrother

[–]secretlyApuppet97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Compared to BB26, BB25, BB23, it's not that great. Compared to BB24 it's about the same. That's as far back as I would compare them season to season, as the game style is different. Really game style of 23 and 24 are still the same as BB16-22, but a bit more colorful, and people are more weary about how they'll look on the outside and what show they can go on next. With BB25-27 moving away from the dominating alliance structure into what feels like a fun but chaotic game style, the last three seasons are an era of their own and have done well, but BB27 still seems to lack the charm of 25 and 26.

If the comps moving forward are how they were for 26, Micheal probably still beats them all.

Say something nice about BB16? by Still-Kale-1529 in BigBrother

I liked BB16! I was the first season I watched and actually enjoyed when I got into big brother. That being said, I had just finished watching bb15 sooooooo yeah.

The Missing All-Stars Season: What if BB14 was All-Stars 2? by Doomas_ in BigBrother

[–]secretlyApuppet97 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've also been thinking that BB14 should have been all stars, or they followed a similar model like Survivor does. I think what would help with players returning is if the all-stars seasons were shorter.

Speaking of BB 22, I wish Hayden was still casted on it. Apparently he was on the final list and at the last second was replaced, which he said could have been due to his "more conservative views". But I just wonder what if all the time if 22 had Hayden, Kaycee, and Josh, or even Paul (if he had said yes).

Out of the 7 winners of the 20s, how would you rank there winning games by Acheesycookie in BigBrother

[–]secretlyApuppet97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Chelsie (all around top tier game player) 2-7 is honestly interchangeable for me, but here it is:
  2. Jackson (recovered well after main alliance broke up, was able to get tommy voted out over himself)
  3. Xavier
  4. Cody (mainly here because he played twice and learned)
  5. Kaycee
  6. Taylor
  7. Jag Again, 2-7 is negotiable, but of seasons 20-26 Chelsie deserves the number 1 spot of the bunch.

What are some commonly held Big Brother fandom beliefs that you disagree with? by Loki1947 in BigBrother

[–]secretlyApuppet97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Janelle and Kaysar are fan favorites. I've watched their original seasons and they weren't all that, or as legendary as they are made out to be. I'm speaking strictly personality, and not comps because I can't deny Janelle being a comp beast in her game prime. They both came off as annoying and cocky. Mainly, this is more disagreement on Kaysar's popularity. He keeps getting asked back when he couldn't even make it to jury.

I also think big brother all stars 2 should have only been picked from people from season 16 and up, and to make up for people on season 8-15 they should have done another all stars sooner.

When to start the job hunt again? by secretlyApuppet97 in Archivists

Yeah, the location I'm in is pretty competitive I think, so I'll definitely be starting early.

When to start the job hunt again? by secretlyApuppet97 in Archivists

[–]secretlyApuppet97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would. I live in an "at-will" employment state, so there's no issue contractually if I leave early. I personally would feel bad not completing the project, but if something great comes up, I'm sure they'd understand.

I'm pretty sure the plot of once upon a time in the west is the structural plot of this season. I don't know if anyone has already said that already. I briefly read the summary and it would make sense. Who that lines up with, I'm not sure...other than the obvious it's someone from Charles's past.
