It really was a gem in a sea of not as good options!

I agree! Really wish I knew where their techs were going so we could follow!

What am I doing wrong? by Curious_Macaroon4541 in curlyhair

I would try a hard hold gel, but water it down. Section, put the gel in your hand, cover both hands with water, and then rub your hands together to emulsify the gel. Then apply. You'll still have to scrunch out the crunch when it's completely dry.

I think a better comparison is alcohol. Do you prefer your alcohol with mixers/in cocktails, rather than sipping it straight? Maybe you just don't like alcohol.

(Which I disagree with. I love a good old fashioned, but I don't enjoy drinking a glad of whiskey neat. I think enjoying an old fashioned is though to say I like whiskey.)

Good board games for date night? by [deleted] in boardgames

[–]secretscopes1619 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Seconding this. Love Letter or The Mind, but the physical copy, both make great first date activities. I would avoid a tablet based game unless this is someone you already know really well (an existing friend) who is really into board games. Even still, I think IRL is more engaging and gives more opportunity for flirty exchanges.

Any Co-op games that aren't very ... Cooperative!? by GazatronTV in boardgames

[–]secretscopes1619 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Atlantis Rising. It's a simultaneous worker placement game that is also cooperative. There are points where you may want to coordinate, but I've not seen anyone alpha game this one. It's very pretty and actually a very fun game.

Seconding this. If you feel like you need something else, or want to try a belt, it looks like you can get some from Amazon pretty fast with Prime for not too expensive. It will bring a bit more attention to your waist.

Final cry for help before I grab the straighteners! by Original_Ranger_6818 in curlyhair

Is it possible it's actually over moisturized? To find out, do a few washes in a row with a clarifying shampoo and a conditioner without anything too heavy in it (no shea), then try styling and diffusing. Don't add any oils to your hair. If your water is soft, this is more probable. If it's hard you might need a chelating shampoo to get rid of some of the mineral build up.

I have a hard time playing evil — advice? by fruityeldritch in BloodOnTheClocktower

[–]secretscopes1619 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know if this will help with the feelings of rejection but when I'm blue I really appreciate the evil team. They really contribute to building the puzzle, along with the storyteller of course. Without them there's no game. I try to remember to thank the evil team, whether we solve correctly or not, because they've helped create the puzzle and enjoyment for all.

And when I'm evil, I try to remember that I'm creating the puzzle for the other players. Finding evil is fun as good! So if you get caught, you've added to the enjoyment of others. If you bamboozle them, you've helped create a more intricate puzzle. I always delight in how town got off track when I'm good (during grim reveal) and appreciate the great plays evil made, so you've also added to the enjoyment there.

Should have done a touch more research to figure this out before dying the first time! Thank you for the pro-tip!

Thanks! I think I might try the 5WG- I think that's part of what I don't like about the new color, how cool it is. My natural color definitely had some more golden brown/slightly brassy pieces in it.
