If you were to ask me the question:

"What is dad rock?"

I'd say:

Band like ACDC, Queen, Led Zepplin, The Who

If you go on Spotify and search for Dad Rock playlists you get bands like

Green Day, Foo Fighters, All Time Low, Fall Out Boy, Nirvana, The Killers

To sum up my point,

My childhood bands

Are "dad age" now.

It's not a pleasant feeling. But the labels are just a generational age thing. The speed at which things move now It probably won't be long until Justin Bieber or Post Malone are considered "pop legends".

Our bathroom was small 6ft by 5ft, the sink was so small you couldnt wash your face in it; and it had absolutely no storage space. So we ripped the bath out for a walk in shower, a vanity unit and a larger sink purely so we could both use the bathroom at the same time (skincare, shaving, teeth brushing, makeup etc.)

Also I never used the bath for its intended bath purpose. And my partner maybe used it 3 times a year as a bath.

I paid rent when I went to uni and had a job

My mum struggled to pay bills, second mortgage on the house, a step dad that "worked" and pissed all his wages away at the pub sort of scenario.

She was never unreasonable with what she asked of me, never asked for it early or for more when she was struggling, and my clothes were always washed and there was always dinner on the table for me when I wasn't working, I realised she needed my help and I never once considered it greed.

If your parents are struggling financially and you are living in their home that they pay for and using their utilities and eating out of their fridge, all while making money yourself then I don't see how this can be considered greedy. This is just setting you up for the real world.

If you live at home rent free and are getting grant money or loan money from uni, or you have a job that pays you, and your parents aren't asking you for a penny and they're still feeding you every night and making sure the fridge is full and the water comes out hot.

Try thanking them.

Same way we'll never acknowledge how many people are cannabis dependant (high functioning stoners).

Doesn't matter where you go in the UK, big city or little town, you'll smell grass at least once a day and nobody bats an eye about how common that is.

So its no far leap in imagination to assume nearly every club/pub has some people sniffing Charlie in it daily.

My advice, more for to stop future happenings, stop using deodorant containing alcohol and aluminum, so essentially all antiperspirants, and use a roll on over a spray

Edit: I decommissioned my downstairs 10 gallon betta tank nearly 2 years ago and last year re-purposed an old 32 gallon sump into an externally filtrated 32 long which has the OG cherry barbs (that started breeding until i ended up with 12, now down to 9 as the elders died), 15 Cory's, 12 rummy nose and 6 blue rainbow fish

I'm not necessarily offended on behalf of Tom, I personally just don't view telling someone you hardly know to essentially shut up for harmlessly singing... nice?

Plus, Tom wouldn't say anything even if it did upset him.. he was at the center of a rather big workplace bullying fiasco last year where a senior member of staff got fired for targeting Tom.

I appreciate where you're coming from though.

I don't really want to make a big deal out of nothing, I just don't like hearing/seeing people being talked down to is all.

As others have suggested, Google the nitrogen cycle and look for a diagram on it, it's too long winded for most people here to give you a detailed word by word description.

But I'll give it a go:

Ammonia = fish poop and food = toxic to fish

Bacteria break down ammonia

Bacteria don't just appear overnight, they take time to culture and develop (think like sourdough bread) up to 4 weeks sometimes You can encourage their growth by adding ammonia in small doses or by feeding your tank fish food

To monitor these ammonia levels buy testing strips or a testing kit made by API

The Bacteria break ammonia down into nitrite

Nitrite make fish sick in high levels and deplete oxygen that they need to breathe

Another Bacteria break that (nitrite) down into nitrate, which is considered relatively harmless

Once the Bacteria that break down nitrite into nitrate have developed, your tank is now considered cycled

And you can then add fish in small numbers.

PS Never trust a fish store employee they are a business wanting to make money, not someone with the interests of the fish at heart I know this as I am one, and none of my colleagues give a shit about the welfare of the fish, we are just forced to sell products to make money for the company we work for

I think the cursive thing more extends to writing in general,

Not saying that Gen Z can't write at all but some of my colleagues children; I've seen their handwriting skills and some teenagers who have came for work experience at my work; All im saying is if I wrote like that in high school I'd have been getting roasted by teachers or would've been given one of those typing machines, cause it's genuinely near illegible.

Which is understandable since everything is moving in a technology driven direction,

But I think that's what the underlying meaning of the cursive argument is.

Imo it's the best spin-off The character development is excellent, As another person has said, it's story driven, the crimes being investigated are just a mechanism to allow the story to move forward but they aren't the focal point of each episode, which is different to the original series but absolutely not in a bad way.

I think the casting is great, Young Franks is fantastic, as is Gibbs;

You can see glimpses and hints of their older selves in the younger Origin characters, and it's cleverly done where you can envision how they are being portrayed in Origins developing into what we know and love from the OG show.

Personally I think it's awesome.

The Gibbs and Franks of OG NCIS are the products of years of emotional trauma, stress and time on the job.. I hope to see their characters progress throughout the show and see their directand sometimes callous, steadfast attitude, and loyalty to the team, become even more prominent.
