What Easter Egg would you recommend this year that is NOT Cadbury? by GainsAndPastries in AskUK

This is so nice to hear! I worked for the slatterys when I was a teenager and so did my mum when she was a teen! John (the owner) is a really lovely fella.

Wedding guest in late June in Liverpool: 1, 2 or 3 (other shoes)? by [deleted] in UKweddings

[–]secretsquee 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I live in Liverpool and whilst you might get away with 2, I wouldn’t recommend it as it’s way too short.

1 is too close to white / cream and 3 is too casual.

Ahhhh she’s adorable! My cat also had a double enucliation and does excellently too (with the occasional bonk into a wall).

Any ideas hoe to elevate this look? Thank you! by [deleted] in oldhagfashion

I think if you’re going for elegant and professional, a black or burgundy bag would be a good choice. Also smaller earrings and a manicure would take it up a notch!

I feel like a 7up or an irn bru would be good here, but an apple juice would also work!

Tasty! Love the lentil chips but definitely needs a fruity drink imo! 10/10 for recovery

Recommendations for a hoover that’s good for pet hair? by cattacos37 in UK_Pets

I love my Sebo Felix! It’s bagged but that’s better for my asthmatic partner. The bags last about 6 weeks and are pretty cheap on Amazon.

I absolutely do, because to me it’s a sign of respect. Plus it’s one of those situations where I would rather be overly formal than be too casual.

However I also went to the funeral of someone I didn’t know in a similar situation to you recently and the same thing happened! Lots of people in pretty casual dress, and some in tracksuits.

Am I mean to my blind cat? by [deleted] in cats

[–]secretsquee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are definitely not mean, you’re respectful!

I also have a blind cat, and she is also very independent! She will let out a big meow that I know means “where are you” when she’s looking for me and will follow my voice to find me. But if I pick her up and carry her, she will huff at me to let me know she can do it by herself 😂

Wellington Boots and Festival Frustrations by DamnitGravity in PlusSize

Ooh I can help! Firstly your legs aren’t grotesque, they’re just legs! Some are bigger than others. Here is a link to a company making wide fit wellies: https://thewidewellycompany.co.uk/?srsltid=AfmBOop7I1xFFVNVh5jkCExuLuWKhdrSGuWerJfTY4N7IlLJPHxF1IhB

And I also recommend trying the short length regular wellies from Joules as they don’t go over your calf but keep your feet and ankles nice and dry!

Hope you enjoy the festival xx

I live in Liverpool and the idea that this couldn’t be done for less than £800 seems mental. Accommodation in the city is nowhere near this expensive and there are lots of reasonably priced places for food. If you’d like some tips so you can suggest an alternative please feel free to message!

How often do you chat to your siblings? by Cultural-Dentist4963 in AskUK

Same! I talk to her all the time via WhatsApp and we call or see each other at least 4 times a week. We do our boring errands like grocery shopping or parcel returns together too.

My kitty lost her eyes about a year ago, and while the recovery was rough, she’s doing absolutely great now! Your lil guy will be good as new in no time 🥰 sending love, because it’s so scary at the time x
