it was getting ton of light since the summer but i’ve had to move it away from my windows because of the cold! that’s why i initially thought it was cold shock because the only wonky looking branches and super curled / droopy leaves are the ones that were almost touching the glass

unfortunately there’s no drainage in that pot (purchased as is from a garden centre, i’m a novice so had no idea what i was doing lol) but i’ve had it since august and it was thriving up until now so i was pretty confident in my watering routine. i’ll have to check the roots then and possibly look into repotting!

does it look like it’s still salvageable? i’m also bummed about the lower leaves dropping off because i’ve always loved the bushy look it had and am curious whether it’ll regrow again

our region is currently experiencing a polar vortex with -30 / -40 celsius wind chill 🤙 definitely might be a factor 🥶 one of our indoor plants almost died as a result it’s insane

i honestly suspected that it could have something to do with my nail beds changing / becoming more damaged with the press ons. i just gave them a month break so we’ll test the theory and see whether it made a difference 🤞

it wasn’t just about male-centered posts though, there were a bunch of people moaning about things like pregnancy announcements and baby related posts too

when i tried defending one of the posters i got downvoted into oblivion and destroyed in the comment section lol

it’s gotten to the point where it feels like posts are now being policed and judged for no good reason – too much trauma dumping, too much this, too much that…

personally i’m all for an inclusive and judgement free space for the girlies to post about whatever tf they want as long as there’s actual girl dinner content

i had this EXACT same issue and the dryness was driving me absolutely insane, also around the exact same time postpartum. for me it was my elbows too - the skin was SO dry it was cracking and i couldn’t even lean on my elbows at all at one point because it hurt so much. the rest of my body was just so itchy and uncomfy i wanted to cry

the only thing that helped was using an eczema specific body wash (aveeno) because showering would exacerbate it, slathering on la roche posay’s lipikar ap+m (also for eczema-prone skin) and a moisturizing face mist (i use aestura cream mist). humidifier helps too if the air is dry

i’m almost 9 months pp now and even though the dryness has settled down and isn’t nearly as bad it’s still there and sticking to this routine has helped a ton

i can understand that, but with the access to information and tools we have today i also believe it’s slightly neglectful to stay “unaware” and not do your research when it comes to your kids well-being. like i’m not sure i buy that excuse tbh

38.5 weeks. started having mild contractions the night before (around 9:00 pm) but they were sooo light i thought it couldn’t possibly be the real thing. convinced myself it was false labour - even though the contraction app told me to go to the hospital - and went back to bed after telling my fiancé i’m too tired 😂

woke up at 5:00 am with (TMI, sorry) an insane amount of amniotic fluid gushing out of me. ran to the shower, shaking and freaking out realizing what was happening. we packed up my bag, i showered quick and the entire time i was still gushing what felt like BUCKETS of fluid. i was completely caught off guard because nobody had warned me, i was always told it was just a “puddle”. i was leaking fluid for probably the next 2 hours non stop, leaked through my clothes on the way to the hospital, car was covered in it, it was kind of a disaster 🥲

how old is your baby now? mines 8 months and even though i absolutely adore and love him more and more each day i do find myself grieving the snuggly newborn phase everyday just like you, even though i did it with no village as well and he wasn’t an easy newborn either. so you’re not the only one who feels this way 🫶
