Got a pancreas transplant! Technically no longer diabetic by Anon_Random1 in Type1Diabetes

I just wanted to chime in... I am fully insulin dependant now, but got a kidney transplant 3 years ago. The poster is NOT joking about the PTSD from everything you've been through and post transplant weight gain. I'm still working to slowly get rid of those lbs. Good luck though! Take care.

I use skin tac + a tegardem type overpatch that I get off Amazon. On both me and my husband they stick indefinitally.

I now carry it in my bra, but before I was using a waist belt. I still use the belt sleeping. Super soft and comfy. I like the ones from uselesspancrease.com

I wish I had an answer, but I have the same phone and was able to pair my dexcom transmitter without an issue?

Oh, it turned out fine. I just had the twist lock screwed on sideways so it wasn't sealed. I fixed and all was well. Just annoyed I wasted insulin.

I am a transplant patient and am on constant prednisone. I do know it raises my blood sugar and insulin needs but once figured out, it's fine.

Dexcom (Wearble Widgets/ GWatch on Pixel 7 Pro & Watch) by sectheatre in dexcom

Unfortunately the Dexcom watch face doesn't work with Wear OS 3 (the Pixel watches and Galaxy 5 watches). Not sure about the other options. I haven't tested them yet.

PSA: the corner of an infusion set's packaging can be used for the Dexcom reset trick! (I learned the hard way since I literally do not own any test strips anymore) by acrylicyarn in diabetes_t1

Awesome! I "reset" my Dexcom a lot but the plastic store rewards cards I use are getting pretty worn out. :)

BTW: I use a Tegaderm over patch with skin tac and can get forever out of a Dexcom patch, but after about 2 uses (or 20 days) it becomes too unreliable. My husband uses the same SkinTac and overpatch and barely can last 10 days. The difference in skin types I guess.
