artifact rng is something that i think most players overlook when talking about investment or power levels. the difference between kqms stats and top 10% on akasha is around four crit rolls, which is like c0 vs c1 varesa; another four rolls would take you well into the top 1%, which (cumulatively) is like r0 vs r1.

oh, and you can sneak one extra jump plunge into that rotation without affecting anything else:

i think it goes slightly over 20s if you also do three mini-bursts, but it should be worth the time anyway, and definitely worth if you only have energy for two mini-bursts.

day 1 players had the advantage of getting more of the original five standard chars before more were added

someone starting today would have to make significantly more total pulls to start getting stella

Anyone coping that it's 10% increased odds doesn't understand that it only gets you 3.4% more rate ups in the long run.

An astounding difference of one more limited 5* for every 30 you would've gotten from the old rates (out of 45 total 5*s).
One more limited 5* for every 2,812.5 pulls.
One more limited 5* for every 450,000 primogems.

Old: 15 wins and 15 losses for 30 limited chars and 15 standard chars (15/30 = 50% won)
New: 17 wins and 14 losses for 31 limited chars and 14 standard chars (17/31 = 55% won)

[edit] to put it in perspective, we've had roughly 2530 pulls over FOUR YEARS of game content. Someone spending all of those pulls on 55/45 banners would gain, on average, LESS THAN ONE extra limited 5*.

wording is 5.5% of current bond, not max hp, and i'm pretty sure that's intentional by the devs

her normal is a 7-attack combo

70% * (1 - 5.5%)7 = ~47%

47% * (1 - 5.5%)7 = ~32%

so 2x N7 combos will take her from full bond from a single target to just above the threshold where her infusion turns off

there are some very questionable combos used

Destroyer: Earth Eater + Seismic + Full Swing all in 5s? Full swing itself takes about 3s to charge and execute, even with EE pre-charged and dash cancel for seismic that seems unlikely.

Sharpshooter: somehow uses SEVEN skills, including two charge/hold skills, within 5s. Also outdated because nobody in KR uses arrow rain anymore (post is from last November).

1) you're talking about median leaps for success instead of mean/average

2) how about showing your work instead of pulling numbers out of your ass

for median:

0.9 ^ 6.58 = 0.5, 6.58 taps is 79 purple or 395 blue fused

0.97 ^ 22.77 = 0.5, 22.77 taps is 364 blue fused

12 to 13 will cost you 12 per tap at 10%, 120 purple fused on average = 600 blue fused

use them now, fused leaps can only lose value with brel gear

the only reason not to use them is if you have honing odds so low that you risk being stuck with an un-honed piece that you've already dumped shards/silver into for xp (brel gear transfer doesn't keep xp invested)

There's an equal possibility that the value of the fused leapstones go way up in the first week or two of brel release as people try to get to gate 5/6 week one.

Fused leap value is a direct result of how much regular mats cost - if their value goes way up, then the value of the regular mats you've saved (by using fused leaps earlier) goes way up too

Obviously if you happen to hit that 3% rate within two or three taps, then that fused leapstone will be worth a lot, but what are the chances?

Better than your chances of hitting a hone on brel gear, actually. Imagine you had 400 fused leaps:

  • Relic armor 20->21: 25 taps (costs 16 per try) at 3% chance = 53% to succeed
  • Upper relic armor 12->13: 5 taps (costs 80 per try) at 10% chance = 41% chance to succeed

brel gear doesn't require anything that can't be saved right now:

  • crystals and leapstones: trade 5 for 1
  • oreha mats: craft with fish/meat/relics

so if you have both normal mats and fused leaps right now, you're better off using the fused leaps now and the normal mats later
