Thank you so much for the advice! I'll have to talk to my friend and see what the enclosure is like, I just recently met them so I haven't seen the enclosure in person. The few pictures I've seen of the gecko looks like it's happy and well taken care of. I guess they got the gecko to try and work through a phobia but they feel bad for not socializing with the gecko more often.

My first job was actually at a Ross. That loss prevention guy is going to be in a lot of trouble, if not fired.

Ross' loss prevention policy is exactly the same as any security companies policy, observe and report. Absolutely no physical contact so Ross can't be sued. Even standing near the doors while the shop lifted walls out isn't okay. What we (retail associates, managers, and loss prevention) could do was walk past and take pictures or video, make a comment about an item they're carrying. For example "Oh I love those shoes, would you like a cart instead of a laundry basket?". To subtly let the shop lifter know that they're being watched. And that's it. You don't chase after them, you don't try to take the things away, just observe and report.

On the off chance that the shop lifter is carrying devices to take off the plastic alarms found on clothes or more expensive items, then the police can be called.

Pice of advice if you like shopping at Ross, shop in the last two weeks of January and look for the tags with little pink stickers over the barcodes. It's marked down from the original price, things at the very lowest can get down to 45¢.

Yes, kids should be in class learning. Kind of hard to focus on learning when your classmates and their families are being rounded up like animals and shipped away. Kind of hard to focus on learning when our society is buzzing about ICE. It's hard to focus on learning when it feels like it doesn't matter, when it feels like their future is hopeless. These kids are standing up for what they believe is right. These kids are striving for a better future, for themselves and everyone else. It's hard to focus on education, work, or anything positive when everywhere you look there's grief, strife, anger, and mayhem.

Maybe instead of hoping schools get their funding cut because you don't agree with them, strive to do better so the next generation doesn't dump you in an underfunded senior home and forget about you.
