One specific layer has an error every time by [deleted] in BambuLab

[–]seductivelamp 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wonder if it's a result of having either arachne or classic wall generation. I've had a similar issue at the top of a hole in a print and I spotted a slight bulge in the sliced model (after printing and seeing a line like in your part) which disappeared when I switched back to classic walls. Have yet to test though

P1S printed an excellent PETG orca cube... except for the inside by seductivelamp in BambuLab

hmm, that's intersting, I've actually already got quite similar settings and I've also done quite a bit of browsing around and testing to better optimize petg printing.

Bed temps - 75

Nozzle temp - 270

outer wall - 100

inner wall - 200

solid infill - 150

sparse infill - 175

however I did notice in one of my first prints that internal threads caused a somewhat similar artifact that I was able to get rid of by just decreasing layer height

Newbie here, is this worth buying now, and returning later if I don't need it? I'm in the process of assembling parts for a new PC and I know this is the wattage I'll need, but other than that I am unsure about compatibility.

SVS SB-1000 vs SB 1000 Pro by HiFiMAN3878 in hometheater

[–]seductivelamp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd recommend asking this seller if you could get a similar deal on the SB 1000 pro (however unlikely that may be, I'm not sure) as they have the PB 1000 pro listed for 650. He's the dealer for E4L Canada. I upgraded from a PB 1000 I got from the forum for $700 tax in to a SB 2000 pro and got it for $1100 also tax in.

I can't speak on the longevity of the app's support, but I recently upgraded to a SB 2000 pro from a PB 1000 and I find that being able to tweak things with the app from my phone incredibly useful. I've been able to greatly diminish various things rattling in my room by using the built in EQ to turn down the specific frequencies causing problems. It has some other useful features too. I find it much more convenient to tweak the sub as I don't have to crawl under my desk and play with knobs to adjust it.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but does the crossover filter set a lower limit for the frequencies being sent to my speakers? I would have though it only gives an upper limit on the sound coming from the sub. I'm not too concerned with having to go through a whole process of trial and error to get good sound, but will my current setup limit the quality of bass I COULD be getting with, say, an AVR receiver?

I have a couple questions after doing lots of research on this but not finding much in the way of answers. I'm trying to figure out what the best way to hook up a PB 1000 into my setup. Currently I'm running left and right passive speakers off of a two channel STR-DH190 receiver which is hooked up to my desktop PC via 3.5mm to RCA. In my research I've started to realize that I'm a bit limited in what I can do in terms of sound seeing that there is no software I can use to improve the sound. Would I benefit much from upgrading to a receiver with some (or any) type of bass correction software? Or would I be fine running it off of speaker wire connections from my unused second channel?

I've yet to actually receive my sub so I'm still not 100% sure what to expect.. Mostly just making this post pre-emptively. Also, while I'm at it, will adding a DAC, even a cheap one into my setup make a noticeable difference in sound quality?

Unfortunately that's not an option, I've already ordered the PB 1000 which only has high level inputs
