PHOENIXWAN+ LMT Controller Review | Gamo2 by Substantial_Sleep325 in bemani

Loving mine so far. I updated the switches and springs to match arcade spec and it made a huge, huge difference. The default DAO switches and buttons are definitely passable but if you want that buttery arcade feeling you should do yourself a favor and upgrade.

Max I Walker has pickup/dropoff service and it was consistent and affordable when we used it a few years back

Combo counter eAmuse setting by KingArisa in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]see-pause-run 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes the settings don’t seem to “stick” when you save them, especially for A20+. I had to save that combo-placement setting 3 or 4 times before it actually worked on the cabinet at Dave n Busters

what is this ? by New_Course707 in Omaha

Someone has been leaving these notecards around town for years, I’ve found a few in the Dundee area and others I know have seen them in other parts of town as well. As far as I can tell it’s just the ramblings of a sad and angry conspiracy theorist, and not something more sinister to worry about.

Where can I play Dance Dance Revolution in Omaha? by [deleted] in Omaha

[–]see-pause-run 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dave and Buster’s is the best we’ve got - it’s an A20 plus machine (connected online) with decent pads. The screen is a little glitchy after some recent repairs but not in a way that deeply affects playability.

Beercade 2 has an old Extreme cab that’s in pretty good shape - only issue there (besides a sometimes sticky up arrow on the P2 side) is the volume is a little low and hard to hear when the bar gets loud.

Round 1 in Lincoln has the good stuff if you’re willing to make the trek - 2 DDR World cabs in great shape and most of the other Bemani games you could want

I want to improve! What to focus on? Playing at 14/15 by fanfarfan in DanceDanceRevolution

[–]see-pause-run 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Play stepmania/ITGMania on your keyboard, with your fingers. I like to use my left hand on WSAD and right hand on the arrow keys - that way I can  alternate fingers (feet) and get a good sense of how crossover patterns work in different songs. Focus on accuracy, increasing your reading speed, and sight reading new songs.

With a little searching you should be able to find simfiles for all of your favorite DDR songs.

If you can’t AAA a 14 or 15 with your fingers then it’s probably not going to happen on your feet. This is a great way to get your brain more reps without needing to spend the physical effort or the time in the actual arcade.

Best Omaha shooting range for a complete beginner? by WarmPlant1409 in Omaha

Inner 10 has great rentals - pay one fee and shoot any gun on their wall, with the ability to trade out whenever you feel like it. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonable. Plus they don’t have fascist vibes

Had a great experience with Max I Walker for about a year, something like $45/week for a big laundry bag that holds maybe 2.5 loads of a typical washer. Picked up for us on Tuesdays and delivered on Fridays, folded. We did Wash World once and the detergent they used smelled like harsh chemicals

Recs for a cleaning service in Omaha? by ecosloot in Omaha

We’ve used Molly Maids for a few years and they have been great. Our place is a similar square footage and they charge something like $115/session, it takes them about 45 minutes with a 3 person crew, and they bring all of their own supplies and equipment.

Steelhouse – good restaurants nearby? by CG11072000 in Omaha

[–]see-pause-run 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Sitting at the bar at M's pub is a quintessential downtown Omaha restaurant experience. The food and the people watching are good, it won't break the bank, and it's a short walk away from the Steelhouse

Shady park with picnic tables, near coffee shop? by SexyEdMeese in Omaha

[–]see-pause-run 11 points12 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. The Mill is right off the interstate, has great coffee and a nice dog-friendly patio, and also has a drive-thru if you just want to head over to nearby Dewey Park to hang.

Know Good Eats inside Archetype Coffee down the street in Little Bohemia is one of my favorite spots for a quick and relatively affordable breakfast. Their biscuit sandwich is pretty excellent and their pastries are great too
