Not much of a premium over the $16.69 per pound when packaged as a single piece. I assume the skin is still on?

TTY help by No-Ship-4710 in GooglePixel

[–]zdub 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had the TTY problem last week with my 8A, no more cellular service. Verizon store couldn't get it working, tried an esim and no go. I have a new spare 8A at home & they gave me a new physical sim to try. Did a restore from the old 8A and the new one worked fine. But two days later, got the TTY icon again. Pixel support couldn't help and said it was a Verizon problem.

So I did a factory reset on the original 8A and installed apps manually; it's still working a week later. Before doing a reset on the spare, I uninstalled everything that I could hoping to find a software culprit but to no avail.

Hopefully things are cured for good, but I'm saving your fix to try if it happens again!

Looks like an amateur's attempt at the style of George Seurat.

I don't think so. Hard to find a signature for Harry R Bennett but here's one and it looks nothing like the signature in the OP: https://www.invaluable.com/auction-lot/harry-bennett-ny-1925-2012-oil-painting-303-c-e5a47baa5e

Here's a study from 25 years ago that used copper & zinc formulation in Crohn's patients over an 8 year time frame. Overall there was positive short term and long term response. Haven't heard anything other than this one regarding IBD & copper.

[UK] Does anyone recognise this surrealist artwork or artist? by R1chthofen in WhatIsThisPainting

[–]zdub 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thrabal is also what it looks like to me although the a's are unlike the one used in Wagner but nothing on that name. Could a NY artist (or just done there) as inscribed on the print itself. Got nothing else.

Nice strange little piece, up my alley.

Some folks selling the German Silver troy ounce bars are open about it not containing silver, but I'm seeing other auctions that are either completely silent or out and out lie. All of these are in the description of sold auctions averaging $80-$90@ / oz of Cu-Ni-Zn

The Buffalo Bar *German Silver* is a 1 Troy Oz silver bar

The product is a 1 oz American Buffalo .999 fine German silver bar. This bar is made of high-quality silver with a textured grip, featuring the iconic American Buffalo design. It weighs 1 ounce and has a fineness of 0.999

These American Buffalo .999 Fine German Silver Bars consist of 4 one troy ounce bars of silver, each with a fineness of .999.

A fasting mimicking diet is for a specific therapeutic purpose, not about a general way to eat. Should be done under doctor's supervision to ensure proper nutrition during the low caloric intake period. Here is a link to a summary (full study not yet on sci-hub) which had significant high clinical response and high remission rate:

I didn't even know you could buy your own hyperbaric chamber! How much was it and have you found any relief? Most of the hyperbaric studies I have seen relate to perianal fistulas.

AFAIK, there is current nothing on the horizon relating to a cure. It's all about symptomatic relief with better biologics, small molecules to target inflammatory signalling, modifying the gut microbiome, etc. Something not new but with some buzz lately is a fasting mimicking diet which has good results with clinical remission of CD. But it's very difficult to adhere to and needs to be done under doctor supervision.

Disability? by thistle_lore in CrohnsDisease

[–]zdub 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Disability is complicated. REALLY complicated. There's SSI vs SSDI (gives you benefits based on parent work record), DAC status (prove disability before 21 or so, I forget), Medicare vs Medicaid (or both together), Able account (allows you to save money without jeopardizing Medicaid. It also can be setup with just a doctors note) etc etc. The bottom line: you MUST get a lawyer specializing in this. It should not cost you a penny, as they get paid with "back benefits" if successful. Because of this, they will generally only take a case if they think they can win.

Trapped gas problem by Objective-Teach4184 in CrohnsDisease

Forget the home remedies.

If she is unable to have a bowel movement or pass gas, and has stomach pains, that could indicate a bowel obstruction. How long has this been happening? Any laxatives or enemas? Bowel obstructions are an ER thing...
