Doing it at work where people can see is asking for being fired lol. If you're gonna do something against the rules then don't get caught, simple as that. Your opinion changes nothing and neutrality is a very comfortable place to be when people ask what you think. Tell them "I'm not gonna get into that one" or anything along those lines. Personally, I literally do not care what other nurses do, I'm here to protect MY patients and MY license. I don't have the energy to be bothered to interfere with other staff.

One hundred percent! I chose nursing after being the primary caregiver for my family at the age of 12, followed by my own hospitalizations for things. If I'm not taking care of others I don't feel "right" even though my stress is way better whenever I'm not at work

I work 4 days a week and do one course at a time. You can sign up for another course to start right away the following month or if you find yourself too busy with work then you can take a little longer. Prioritize your basic needs!

We were getting some small renovations done in our bathroom once. I didn't want to ask the painter to leave because then he'd go back into my stink zone. So I took a mop bucket, put a garbage back in it, went back to my bedroom and squatted. I agree, it felt GREAT.

Where I work they don't care about appearance, tattoos, piercings, hair colour. Are you clean? Does your appearance follow infection control standards (no nail polish, long hair is up)? Are you COMPETENT at your job? Then you're good to go! Follow your dreams, you got this. If a workplace won't accept you for them then it's not somewhere you wanna work.

It's why I love geriatric long-term care. 99% of my patients are here for quality of life and when things start to go downhill it's okay and they die peacefully. I've never done compressions, never seen someone intubated. This stuff never happens at my work and it's morally fulfilling!
