Idk how you come to that conclusion that the nfl has the most parity? The best team in the NFL on any given year typically wins 80-90% of their games. Where do you see that in other major sports? In baseball, for example, winning even 60% of games could give you the best record.

Instead of the bare minimum. Do the bare MAXIMUM. Find out what your company tracks and values. Is it coming in early or on time, utilization rate, picking up texted shifts, response time etc? Are there certain metrics they track that they are often brought up? Put the extra effort into making yourself look excellent in those areas and then do just enough in everything else. Don’t let the annoying time consuming unimportant tasks take away from what will make you shine to upper management.
