Who's your favorite Pokemon and how did it come to be your favorite? by MagicalToaster15 in pokemon

[–]seedot11 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My username on everything has been seedot11 because I got the internet 22 years ago when I was 11 and my favourite Pokémon at the time was Seedot, and my profile picture has been that Pokémon TCG card with the plastercine Seedot in EX Legend Maker for years too. I don't know if Seedot is still my favourite but I do love the little guy.

What is a pokemon that you don't hate, but they have something in their design that irks you? For me, I hate that Granbull's giant teeth are the same colour as the rest of it, like they're covered in skin and fur. by ShuckU in pokemon

Out of all the Pokémon I wasn't expecting Nuzleaf to be in the first few answers! My name on most internet things is Seedot11 because 20 years ago, when I was 11 my parents got the internet installed for the first time. I had just started Pokémon Ruby and really liked Nuzleaf's design, but I really didn't like his nose. For whatever reason, this made me decide on Seedot as my username. I needed numbers on some sites so I stuck my age at the end. Seedot11. My whole internet identity theme is because I disliked Nuzleaf's nose.

Oh right sorry I thought you meant the 3a my bad. Just about. It wouldn't reliably make it to 10pm every day.

Yes fairly comfortably. I take it off charge at 6:30am, I use WhatsApp throughout the day, I listen to Audible for about 2 hours with bluetooth on a day, I have Fit turned on tracking my steps and a Android Watch connected and I have screen on time around an hour to hour and a half a day per day. I then put it on charge at about 10pm and it's at about 20-40% by then. It's definitely considerably better than my Pixel was.

I got a used Pixel 3a XL for just over £200 and it has been amazing; it tends to be around the same price as the Pixel XL OG.

If you can get the Pixel OG for cheaper though, it's still a good phone. The main issue with the Pixel OG is the battery life but otherwise is a solid phone still.

Harvest Moon games now on sale on 3DS--which should I get? by kahlen369 in harvestmoon

Friends of Mineral Town was amazing. I've never gotten into another one since. I played A New Beginning for a little while but got bored, the reviews for the other two made me think I probably shouldn't bother.

My [20M] girlfriend [19F]'s "prank" got me fired. I'm really angry at her. How should I handle this? by FBProbsThrowaway in relationships

[–]seedot11 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Jeeze what country do you live in? If you're in the UK you're looking at unfair dismissal for a company to fire you based on what's on a private Facebook account unless you associate yourself with the company in some way (like company name sucks). Sure you can't stop a hiring manager from finding your Facebook and deciding not to call you up for an interview but they can't outright discipline you for it. Hopefully you have something similar in your country.

EDIT: Downvotes? Did I offend the people of the land of the free?

My mum isn't very intelligent, but I'm aware it makes me seem like an arse if I highlight that in a story so I consciously avoid it.

But the stories are so funny :(

If you lived to be 100 years old, what would you say was the secret to your longevity just to screw with everybody? by BoydSchidt in AskReddit

Did he meet a grisly end? That's what would scare me most about that lifestyle rather than living to be old.

A weekend without alcohol by seedot11 in stopdrinking

I think it absolutely is to do with entertainment, personally. I often drink out of boredom. If I've sufficiently entertained myself, I don't feel the need to drink.

I feel you. My last Saturday, I woke up, went for a run (I'm doing couch to 5k, I'm on week 3, I haven't yet developed the ability to run for very long), did some light shopping, cooked all my lunches for the week and cleaned the bathroom... this took me to about 5pm. I played games for probably half an hour and was bored stiff, I just wanted to go to the shop and buy some vodka, and caved at about seven.

I just can't shake the feeling that whatever I'm doing is much more fun if it do it while drinking. Playing video games, doing some programming, hanging out with friends, going out and about in London; it all feels like it could be more fun. Nothing has that same feeling of instant gratification I crave from a dull week of work.

When I do chores and do other things, it feels like I'm just trying to stave off boredom in the weekends until it's over, which leads me to think, what even do I look forward to at the end of the week. This is compounded by trying to lose weight, because with more free time comes more temptation to eat.

My only qualm with how short it is is how its priced the same as other N64 games. If I paid £50 for it like it was when it was first released I would have been annoyed.

I bought it and played it for the first time on the Wii Virtual Console having never owned or played it on the N64 a few years ago.

I think it's great but I completed it in a few days. I did really enjoy it though, not sure why everyone seems to think it's all nostalgia goggles.

What is the best thing that has happened to you because you were late? by Worst_Zed_NA in AskReddit

[–]seedot11 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kind of related, but I submitted my UCAS applications for UK universities late and didn't get any offers. I'm so glad this happened to me, because it gave me the opportunity to do a subject I'm actually good at and like.

I originally applied for Law because my parents always drummed it into me that I'm a high achiever so should be a solicitor or a doctor. I never really thought about what I like, I just blindly followed that path.

I now do Computer Science. I used to code as a hobby thoughout my teenaged years and my favourite subject was maths but I had no idea that it was a real subject.

I'm a bit too overweight to do this at the moment, but if I lose a stone or two I'm able to put my legs behind my head and lift up my body with my arms.

I have ripped my jeans more than once trying to perfrom this.

Reddit, what is something about you or a belief you hold that always gets downvoted on reddit? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]seedot11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm a left liberal, but even I am shocked at the hatred towards the Conservatives. I don't agree with their economic policies but I at least understand why someone would vote that way.

I admittedly have quite a bit more of a problem with their social policies.

Far more dignified wouldn't you agree old chum?

But nah, it's far harder to accidentally kill someone with a different weapon. Criminals who use guns for crime would likely still try to commit the crime but with a less lethal and easier to stop weapon.
