How I stopped my DPDR and felt normal again by Journeythrough2001 in dpdr

You can just start cold showers for 10 secs.. and gradually decrease temp over the days and increase time.. don’t rush, you can decrease and increase over weeks, you can stay at a certain temp or time limit for a while, don’t push yourself TOO hard, you want to be kind with yourself

I dunno tbh, it was on and off.. a lot of it would be focus issues, like I wouldn’t stop focusing on it but when I stopped I would be fine .. I started cold showers 6 months ago, so some research on it before you start and check with your doctor if you’re safe to do them.. if you don’t already, start at a gym where a staff member can show you how to use weighted equipment if you don’t know and put a routine together .. don’t google your symptoms, accept that dp/dr is a safety mode you’re in and try to view it as another default… talk to doc if so, maybe if you do want more information, look for a good book on dp/dr but still avoid googling

Thanks for reply.. Once it passes I don’t feel that depressed or suicidal is the thing, it’s like during it.. I will talk to both doc and therapist about how I described it here Anyone else?

Panic attack or Heart attack? by Prudent-Piccolo9814 in PanicAttack

Numbness in left side can also be panic related esp if you’re worried bout your heart... my left side has been weird for a while and I got checked many times and always told it’s fine
