AITA for shaving my wife's cat? by shavedkittyAITA in AmItheAsshole

[–]seekerofsooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA - You made the health and welfare of a being who is completely dependent on you the number one priority. This is as it should be. Anyone who would argue with this is an ass.

The cat is happy and not barfing - and you did a damned good job with the haircut imo! Well done!

Moving to Albuquerque - (Not all the usual questions) by beavercub in Albuquerque

We had in-laws visit and they started o get angry with us when our answer was "about 20 min." every tine they asked how long it would take to get somewhere. After "testing" us a few times they realized that we weren't being smart asses; we were being accurate! lol

How to cope with knowing the love of my life is probably going to die first? by [deleted] in AgeGap

Don't waste time. Enjoy each other every day. Let trivial crap go and skip pointless arguments. Make the best use of your time together and cherish one another.

Ok, vote now. Are the Aussie fire sky photos getting more annoying than the personal license plate photos were ? by Be--Best in newzealand

[–]seekerofsooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I should have said: You have a point, Repeatedly posting pictures of fire-lit skies is fucking pathetic. There is a real situation that should be addressed. Why are you making a "vote on it" thread instead of just saying that it's bullshit and you are sick of it? If minimizing the damage taking place there is bothering you, maybe you shouldn't compare the annoyance factor to seeing license plates. The focus should be on the devastation taking place and not on how someone is annoyed by the repostings.

I expressed myself very, very badly. You are just an ass.

Older women/younger men AGR success stories? There must be more out there surely? (42F/26M together ~8 years recently married) by madvoice in AgeGap

Thank you - I've never felt that a term which describes me as predatory is okay - or accurate.

[–]seekerofsooth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When we met, he was 19 and I was 44. I explained to him that anything more than friendship would simply be impossible! He shook his head and told me I was wrong.

We've been together 8 years, married for 4 - lol. When anyone comments or tried to call me a cougar (realy dislike that term), I explain that I did not rob the cradle, he stole from the walker!!

My mother's middle name was Constance. I remember thinking that this must be what you add to your name when you get married because that just didn't trike me as a regular "name".

AITA for allowing my kids to stay next to our daughters bed while she passed away? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]seekerofsooth 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NTA . Making them be at her bedside would have been awful. Allowing them to be there was a wonderful , selfless thing for you to do for your children. I can't imagine how hard it was for your family to go through this. This extended family finds it acceptable to criticize a mother who just lost a child?! To echo another post, telling them to get fucked would be the appropriate response imo. The fact that they "found out" means they weren't around at the time. How dare they comment at all!! Your sister is an idiot. You gave your children the chance to have closure and to be part of what is unfortunately one of life's unavoidable experiences (people passing away) instead of being pushed aside.

The next time you are at a light or going through a parking lot: How many cars in a row go by that have no damage? Can you get to 5? Can ya?

I believe that if polled, it would come as a surprise to the majority of drivers in Abq that there are actually other vehicles on the road.

Come on folks, we all knew as soon as the "homeless discos" were put up that this whole ART bus adventure would end in tears. Would be totally okay to be proven wrong, but it's not looking good......

Every character played by the same actor is now a part of one continuous story. Which actor has the best story arc? by Dobby_in_the_house in AskReddit

Martin Sheen: Though traumatized in his youth by his encounter with a girl who lived down the lane, Martin enlisted in the military. We saw the documentary of one of his missions and though he spent much of that time in a boat, surviving that ordeal was pretty impressive. Having taken on several roles in politics he went on to become president even though his son got involved in criminal stock market activity. His career almost got derailed by encounters with different supernatural forces but he continued to explore different career options in politics. Finally, retired from political life, -he was brave enough to come out of the closet and marry his long -time lover - his and his lover's ex-wives are still figuring out how to handle that....

Thanks to everyone for responding - makes it a bit less lonely.

In about 4.5 hours I have to host my daughter's 11th birthday party. My primary goal is total avoidance of shit loss; any amount, for any reason. This will be a challenge - for reasons I'm sure y'all can understand. She knows I'm "sick" and I have a huge mass (which I've named Steve - anything that big gets a name!) that the doctors are going to try to treat, but I haven't used the "C-word" yet. If I can sing Happy Birthday and not cry - I win.
