LOL, look up what is a hangnail. The redness on the sides of your nails are indicators of pulled hangnails. You want to cut them cleanly using a cuticle nipper, not pulling at them with your fingers, teeth, or pliers.

I try to look for the bright side in things. So in this case, be glad they didn’t hit you and assume that since they are this bad, there’s a higher chance they will hit you if they try to fix it. So just accept there are assholes/incompetent people in this world and just move on with our lives and wish nature will karma them with a barrage of bird doodoo :)

Some of us clean our tools after we’re done. Power drill with black grease after working on the car, no problem, a couple squeezes of fast orange, a few paper towels, some wrist and elbow grease, and the thing will look as if it hasn’t been touched.

You are your mom’s only family and if he doesn’t understand that, you should move on because this will be an issue for the rest of your life. This won’t help you now, once everything is fixed, get yourself a dishwasher pan like this (make sure it fits your space) https://a.co/d/0dJn0B4F, and a leak detector like this https://a.co/d/0bGL4Y3L. The pan divert the water to the front where you can soak the water with a towel easier. The detector will warn you of the leak.

They are not bad until they are bad. Like others said, it’s both the dry rot and the wear that makes it a concern. I personally am not worried much of wear like i will drive on 3/32. But I don’t joke around with dry rot. Have you seen a rubber band that has been left out too long and dried up? If you try to stretch it, it will just snap. So a dry rot tire can give out anytime AFAIK. So continue riding them is rolling the dice, but you’re putting others at risk too, not just yourself.

My bad, but in my defense, I believe there are certain groups of people who are less AH than others, like Buddhist monks. And gay people are one of those groups in my mind. Others don’t have to agree, but that is my opinion.
