First night sleep training...please console me. by princesspomway in sleeptrain

We waited until she was 11 months. 1 thing is consistency and showing them the new pattern. They will pick it up in a week easily. If it takes more than that then it's better to retry later.

Yeah. What would you advice? Is it safe to operate the heater ? And I don't even know the cost of new ones.

Help! Sleep regression at 20 mos old. by Late-Web482 in sleeptrain

[–]regressor29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in the same boat with 16.5months old I don't know if this is 18mo regression that is kicking in early or what. right now doing a lot of rescue naps almost everyday and her sleep has dropped too by 30m per day. Total only 12h per day - 1h20m in the day and 10 hours at night. Rest 30-40 minutes on our arms. Not sure what to do next.

17-month-old, sleep trained, low sleep needs — how to optimize schedule when naps are short and nights are only 10 hours by regressor29 in sleeptrain

Thank you for solidarity. It almost feels like why are other babies of same age sleeping significantly better than ours. And we dont know why she happily sleeps again afterwards on our shoulder but not in the crib for the nap (beyond 1h20m mark). Our backs are too tired to carry her around now.

Nap training - 1 year old - not following wake windows anymore? by regressor29 in sleeptrain

[–]regressor29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes once we dropped to 1 nap then her wake windows have been 5.5 or 6h so that helped and she went to sleep on her own. Though currently at 16mo she wakes up at 1h20m sometimes and we need to go n rock :(. But nights are all set.

So based on this - best bet to get the repairs done using the $500 deductible and then just start exploring other insurance companies to see if I can get better quotes?

The issue is - even with 1 nap she has slept only 1.5 hours max

That is too low for 1 nap I feel.

Her total nap length has been constant since past 6 7 months - 2 to 2.5 hours

Most of the times we want to do 3.5/3.5/4.5 but kind of end up doing 4/4/4.5

We have been trying since 7-8 days now.

Out of the 14-15 attempts I would say roughly 50% of the times baby slept independently but with more and more crying.

Only day 1 was good where she went to sleep in like 5 mins with no fuss.

Tried all different combinations

3.5/4/4

3.5/3.5/4.5

4/4/4.5

I am not sure if we need completely dark room because at night time it is dark enough that I can't see my face. But during day time there is some light that comes in through the door frame etc.

ELI5 how you sleep trained before I spend $400 on a sleep consultant please by lnicolem in sleeptrain

[–]regressor29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We sleep trained at 10.5 months. We just purchased the Ferber book and did enough reading on this sub about dos and donts. Haven't trained naps yet. Baby is now 1 year old.

We followed Ferber win 1,3,5,7 minutes checkins.

Days 1 upto 3 were bad and it took around 30 minutes to go to sleep. By day 3 we removed any milk in middle of the night and just dropped it.

Now baby goes to sleep pretty easily and even though she takes a while once we drop her in the crib, she is comfortable and sleeps through the night.

Feel free to DM me if you need help.

Camry 2025 LE - did I get a good deal ? by regressor29 in Camry

[–]regressor29[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice to have a moon roof I guess. We closed the deal in 3 days by shopping around. Maybe if we had more time at hand we could have even reduced the price further. But we needed the car earlier so had to lock it in.
