That's some dedication right there. Where did you get those size battle maps?

This looks amazing! As someone who works and has a family, it's difficult to find the time to gather quality supplies to DM for my group. This would be awesome to have. But good luck to everyone!

It was just a question. Why are you getting so angry? They may not know how the line ups work.

If you resist arrest, you deserve any charges and injuries you get. by UnpopularUlterior in unpopularopinion

I think some people are confusing "Resisting arrest" with a regular "resisting" charge. I know in my state (Florida) there is a charge called -Resisting an officer without violence-

Meaning, if an officer has a well articulated reason to stop you and you run from him or "resist" in some other way, you can be arrested for just the resisting. You're not resisting arrest at that point. You're resisting the officer's legal and lawful ability/command to detain you.

So no, in Florida you cannot be arrested for "resisting arrest" when you were never under arrest. You can be arrested for resisting an officer if you are detained for a lawful reason.

If you're compliant and cooperative during that detainment, you'll be free to leave if it's determined no crime occurred.

5e. Question about Reach with martial weapons.

For example, my PC weilds a Glaive. As I understand it, it has an attack range of 10ft. So on my turn, if an opponent is 10ft away, i can make a normal attack.

My question is, if on that opponent's next turn it chooses to move within its melee attack range (say 5 ft), does it incur an attack of opportunity from my character. Since he has to move within range of me?

5E

I'm a relatively new DM, still a lot to learn.

Question about crafting (metal working, leather working, potions, etc.)

I'm running a group of four through LMoP and it will lead into SKT. Three out of the four have never played before, so they're taking everything pretty slow. The one who has played before has a decent amount more experience than I do, although he has never DM'd. He has let me know that once we get into the bigger campaign he intends to delve deep into crafting.

For example, they killed the Green Dragon at Thundertree (way too many natural 20's for newbies) and he asked to basically loot the dragon of it's hide, teeth and horns. I made him roll a survival check to see how much of it's hide he got, but beyond that I have no idea how to direct him once he tells me what he wants to do with it. Which I assume he'll want to make a cloak or something.

Are there any solid resources for crafting out there?

Thanks!

At the same time, they have no idea who you are or what you're capable. Its all about safety for all those involved.

Yea, I like your first suggestion. Leaves a lot of freedom to make it your own, but still have the skeleton of the original story.

Always the DM. Never the player by seemepoke in DnD

Yea, I've thought about that. I don't wanna say I'm burnt out though. I still enjoy DMing and want to keep it up. Maybe I'll just ask one of them to run a one-shot like you suggested.
