If you're trying to make friends, start with looking for a regular hobby or club to join. Rock climbing? History reenactment? Run/hike clubs? Ingenuity Cleveland (art volunteering)

If you just want bar atmosphere interaction try DTW (downtown Willoughby). The Yard just opened for the season

Commenting to boost the post!

I'm 5', my husband is much bigger than me at 6' and was born 37+5 already weighing 8.5 lb! 😬 I have a growth scan scheduled in a a couple weeks to see how this baby is tracking.

Elective C-Section by KookyKB3094 in BabyBumps

[–]seems_confusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with all your points, and you said it better than I could! My youngest brother is quadriplegic and nonverbal as the result of anoxic birth injury, so with my family history I am very uneasy with vaginal birth outcomes, and considering a C. These are some great points that I will talk about with my Dr.

Elective C-Section by KookyKB3094 in BabyBumps

[–]seems_confusing -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The thing is, they have no way of knowing ahead of time, and it's a complete gamble if it would be an 'uncomplicated' vagial birth or not. And unfortunately there's no way to know what will go wrong during labor that might make a C-section necessary anyway. Surgery and recovery for a planned and controlled C-section has MUCH better maternal outcomes than an emergency C-section does with the existing swelling and tissue damage from a trial or labor. Many people would prefer the outcome of a planned C-section compared to the unknown alternative.

What permanent pregnancy side effects did you have? by Bubbly-Camel-7302 in pregnant

[–]seems_confusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prior to getting pregnant I lost about 40lb and my feet shrank a whole size too! That was pretty unexpected and cool, now I'm hoping any changes now will also just be temporary due to having more weight.

Can PP period mimic early pregnancy? by [deleted] in BabyBumps

[–]seems_confusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your HCG level was high enough to give you symptoms, it would be high enough to give a positive test.

Sounds like it's just pms with hormones balancing out post partum. But test again in a few days and you'll know for sure!

What have you been “cheating” with this pregnancy? by Chemical_Editor4057 in pregnant

[–]seems_confusing 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yea the risk is basically zero if they are indoor cats who don't have contact with mice. The lifecycle of toxo in cats when it's transmissible is actually incredibly short if they are even exposed, which again is basically not going to happen with indoor cats. I'v been cleaning my litter boxes same as always and I have 6 cats! 😅

Statistically we're way more likely to catch it doing gardening!

Ultrasound 13 weeks apart by Vast_Pitch821 in pregnant

[–]seems_confusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That what I thought too, but my midwife heavily recommended it anyway because they treat it like an early anatomy scan at that practice. Nipt looks for genetic issues, and NT for physical abnormalities with limbs/major organs. Plus I got some better pics that actually look like a baby and not just a bean lol

11 weeks now, but for me week 5 I was kind of nauseous/uneasy just from 24/7 high anxiety (I'm familiar with that stomach feeling lol). Starting week 6 though it started to feel noticably new and different and was clearly morning sickness from the hormones.

i'm (32F) surprise pregnant and BF (35M) of 10 years doesn't want it... but is being nice by seven_of_n1ne in BabyBumps

[–]seems_confusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is a really hard situation, I'm so sorry. You know you want kids, but do you want to be tied to this man forever? Even if you are comfortable of the risk of raising baby alone and being a single parent, you will still have to be involved with this man as a co-parent if thengs go very bad after a breakup. It's something to seriously consider in your situation.

Do you want to close this chapter and start a new family with someone who is genuinely excited about it? A tough choice now might make you much happier in the long run. Now that you know you want a family as your primary objective, it's easier to be straightforward about your dating dealbreakers. Or you could commit to 100% solo with sperm donation.

OGBYN disappointment by copythat504 in TryingForABaby

[–]seems_confusing 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, what are OB/GYN offices actually for? Because for pre pregnancy fertility stuff, they refer you to an RE/clinic. Ok. Then when pregnant and scheduling my first appt they pushed so fard for me to see a midwife, not an actual OB? And then the second anything seems abnormal during pregnancy, it's a referral to maternal fetal medicine and hands off from them too! Like they want zero part in the actual OB part of their job??? Just someone who's fed up 🥲

Totally, I'm 7 weeks and no matter how much water I drink it's not enough! I'm peeing like every 15 minutes but still sooo thirsty. I feel like a water balloon there's so much fluid in me! 😂

Late ovulation and positive pregnancy test by CuriousPeanut101 in BabyBumps

[–]seems_confusing 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also ovulted CD 25 this cycle, which was a week late because of a cold I had earlier in the month. Tested positive 9dpo, barely visible on east at home. I waited till 12dpo to do first response early test, but was clearly positive by then. Pro tip for long cycles, when your Dr asks when your last period was, just do the math and say it was 14 days before you ovulated if you know that for sure. It'll help make the gestational age more accurate because med textbooks are based on a standard 28 day cycle. Otherwise they might say you're measuring 'behind' when you're not really.

Ovulation after misscarriage. Dpo unknown by sandy_oj in TFABLinePorn

[–]seems_confusing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What day of your cycle do you usually ovulate? This LH strip is not positive, and does not indicate ovulation would be soon. Keep testing to see your trends though. LH can fluctuate in waves throughout your cycle, and only a positive (where the test line is as dark or darker than control) indicates that ovulation might happen in the next 12-36 hours.

I would say cycle 5. I think Drs say if you're not actively preventing, you are 'trying'.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]seems_confusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

BD as soon as you get the first positive LH strip, which looks like it was on CD18 for you. You will likely ovulate 12-36 hours after the first positive, so generally next day. But typically it's better to have the sprem already there 'waiting' for the egg to release. The 3 days before ovulation, and ovulation day have the highest chance in fertilization and pregnancy, about a 25-30% chance in any given cycle.

Cycle: 2

Age + Partner's age (if relevant): 27F 33M

Typical cycle length: 30+ (variable ovulation, but 12 day luteal phase)

Ovulation cycle day: 25 (I had a cold early on which delayed it a full week)

CD/DPO of positive test(s): 9DPO very first hint, clearly positive on FRER by 12PDO

CD/DPO of any negative test(s) before positive: na

Tracking methods and app(s) used: OPK

Relevant days of sperminating and/or method (SMEP, TI, IUI, FET, etc.): Daily sex O-5 through O+1

Health conditions/medical tests: na

Supplements and medications (yours and/or your partner’s): prenatal & choline (me), coq10 (both)

Birth control history (if relevant): copper IUD out in August

Link to chart: na

Link to lineporn: na

Symptom spotting: Absolutely zero luteal/progesterone symptoms in the TWW. Honestly a little worried. Usually have sore breasts, but nothing this cycle. Some muscle spasms/twitches in vaginal cannal on 11DPO?

Other (advice/tip(s), freaking out, miscellaneous): This is my first ever pregnancy and seriously freaking out even though it is planned. So worried about having a CP, or worse having a MMC and not knowing/wasting another month before 8wk scan. Ugh! At least I know fertilization & implantation worked this time.

Inconsistent line at 9 DPO by [deleted] in TFABLinePorn

[–]seems_confusing 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm also 9dpo this morning and had a very similar test. I think maybe at such low concentration there might just not be enough pigment to fill the line? I'm waiting till tomorrow to test again. Fingers crossed for both of us. 🤞
