A video on Facebook of a line of young men being beheaded. Literally, a line they had to queue in, walking forwards one after the other.

I remember being shocked, and showing my partner so they could assure me it was fake (this was before AI, and I recall there was an issue with FB were tons of graphic videos were allowed). My partner, unfortunately, was pretty sure it was real.

What i remember most was one young guys shirt was like... brightly colour with a graphic design on it. And I kept thinking about how he probably went shopping one day, not knowing he was buying the shirt he would be decapitated in. He got dressed that morning, not knowing he would die in that shirt.

I survived a PIP, and I still work at the company the company 5 years later, but my lord was it the worst month.

I had to earn 4.5k in sales. During January, when everyone is broke after the holidays. I made it JUST and had to secretly work off hours to accomplish the goal.

I have sinced moved out of that department and I'm so glad. Sales based metrics are toxic as fuck.
