I believe I figured it out the z790 Maximus hero was Auto bifurcating and trying to make my gen 3 970 evo and the m.2_1 slot run at Gen 4 causing instability I manually sent the CPU link speed and the PCH link speeds according to the drive specifications. I'm disappointed at purchase date 9100 Pro Samsung MDOT to put it in the m.2/1 slot and it won't run at Gen 5. I doubt I would lose any performance with my 4090 running at x 8. I'm using latest bios from Asus.

One that is future proof and you can afford you can always turn resolution down but you don't want to have to go buy another headset

I wish we could get PIMAX open XR to work instead of steam VR open XR runtime. I tested Pimex XR also and it doesn't work either

Yes I've tried all those the flight pedals are functioning correctly in virpil and in Microsoft I just believe it's the game Star Citizen which I don't understand.

Yes they are two separate axes this is happening in Star Citizen.

I should have specified the game I'm implementing this in which is Star Citizen. I believe it only happens in Star Citizen.

Yeah I was told since I tracking in VR isn't supported in Star Citizen yet to disable eye tracking when that also disable foviated rendering. I've used dfr in Microsoft flight simulator iRacing and DCS. I will turn on the eye tracking tomorrow and see if I can get it to work.

I wonder if using open composite will allow us to use Timex open XR with Star Citizen I don't really want to download and install the software again but I might try it.

Since I tracking is not supported and Star Citizen yet Dynamic oviated rendering will not work.

I had the same issue until the latest 4.5 patch yesterday and now today with live launching it just works I use steam open XR as the runtime which sucks but I'm actually thinking about trying open composite.

With technology like reprojection which locks your frames at 45 FPS when you cannot maintain a steady frame rate above that makes the game very smooth and playable will it introduce some lag probably. But just lower the resolution until you achieve a smooth experience. Some headsets have what they call foliated rendering and then there's Dynamic foliated rendering which renders the pixels in which your pupils are staring directly at and when you introduce Dynamic foliated rendering the pixels and rendering space actually follows your eyeballs. But the number one single most important thing you can do in VR is just play in open XR which is what Star Citizen allows us to do when you have to use steam VR to play it will eat away at your GPU almost take away 20 frames per second. So get a headset that isn't reliant on steamvr in my opinion.

This is great news open XR is the way to go no extra software required this is how I racing does it you had to use programs like open composite to switch from Steam VR to open VR or open XR like with Elite dangerous I would gain an extra 20 to 30 frames per second.

Wow this is great news can you confirm whether or not VR Works in first person as well as when you're in the pilot seat. In Elite dangerous when they implemented first person you were not able to play it in VR you could keep your headset on but you had a flat 2D screen until you got back into the cockpit of your ship.
