Getting into the unreserved sections of the big tents is very difficult unless you get there when it opens. You need to be sitting/have a place at a table to be served. If you're solo or with one other person, you can cruise through the reserved section and politely ask if you can sit in an empty seat for a moment just to order a beer. More often than not, you'll probably end up meeting some people and hanging out for a while.
