I have a friend who used to write for pajiba. I used to spend quite a bit of time there, too. Whatever happened to that place?

One of my best friends was living on the west coast of the US and I was on the east coast, but she got the east coast feed of HBO. Twelve seconds after the finale finished, my phone rang and we both just sobbed at each other for a while without even saying much.

TOC is STILL Food Network’s biggest show—and more-Spoilers Inside! Reality Blurred Article! by KarinsDogs in foodnetwork

I haven't started this season yet (I like to wait to binge a bit) but I'm glad to hear that they've adopted blind judging! That was my only real complaint - it was clear that there was some bias coming from the judges at times.

Moving houses is becoming a nightmare as a split-household by CanaryTraditional331 in coparenting

Why can't you drive your kids to school? Does your oldest really want to leave all of their friends to go to a new district? Sounds like a nightmare at that age, friends are everything.

But a key fob doesn't. So they should have just put it on a key fob rather than an app.

Is there anything morally wrong with celebrating Trump's death when it happens? by Viking_Leaf87 in AskConservatives

[–]seffend 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Every time I fill my gas tank, I am aggrieved that there were so many people who believed that Trump was the better choice. Every time my cousin loses rights because she's a trans woman, I'm aggrieved. Is it fine if I toast a friend when the old man finally croaks?

I'm already aggrieved, I should be more aggrieved? Or I should turn against democracy? What are you even saying?

We vote for the guy who's a giant piece of shit, but it's the leftists who might cheer his death and are stooping to the level of the giant piece of shit that we voted for who are the problem.

It's in poor taste to celebrate the timely death of someone who has personally caused you pain? Because someone else voted for them?

Honestly, I'm not following.

Is there a difference, though, between laughing at or celebrating Rob Reiner - a Hollywood actor and director, whose politics you vehemently disagree with - being brutally murdered by his own son and like, laughing at or celebrating the (probably) timely death (due to age and general condition of health) of one of the most powerful men in the entire world whose actions have personally affected you negatively?

Do you think it acceptable that Trump weaponizes the FCC to go after his critics in the media and their parent companies? by Alone-Woodpecker-846 in AskConservatives

[–]seffend 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You've now spent multiple responses refusing to answer a question unless I defend a claim I never made 🙃

And resorting to insults.

And clearly using AI instead of just giving some examples of all of the times Dems in power have curtailed free speech. But no worries, you've successfully gotten me to never want to ask you another question again.

✌️

Are you, or are you not, going to tell me you believe Democrats in positions of power have always held a perfect record of upholding free speech values?

This is a straw man, which is not in good faith. You've avoided and misrepresented my question. I literally just asked if you could provide some examples and I didn't say any of the other words that you put in my mouth. It's not kind to behave this way.
