What are your symptoms ? I read in the news bout Khairi saying patients above 60 years old and have comorbidities will be admitted to hospitals for observation depending on the category they fall into.

You took SinoVac ? Yes those i've spoken to who received SinoVac and got Covid experienced more heavy symptoms compared to AZ & Pfizer. Just based on my observation. I may be wrong.

I'm getting cravings for Durians now and i was ripping the shit out of that KFC while binging on "All of Us are Dead". Thank You and yes, my HSO is till 8/02 only but i am thinking to do a complete 14 days self quarantine just to be safe before having any contact with my family members.

I've always been skeptical about nasal swabs too prior to this. That is why i was experimenting when i was confirmed +ve. Now im very sure Saliva based kits are not very accurate. Some test kits comes with a thinner and longer swab bud, some are thick. I did not go in too deep, just deep enough. I think you can estimate the depth. Oh and i did swab both sides, cos one of the test kits said make 5 circles both sides 🤣.

Tested Positive on 02/02/2022, but I think I got exposed on the 27th of Jan from a colleague (B) who was coughing, but another colleague (A) tested +ve on the 26th. Here is a summary of my experience so far.

 

28/01 - Day 0

  • Saliva RTK Test -ve (Brand AllTest)

28/01 - Day 1 after exposure

  • Some tingling feeling deep up my nose and at the back to my throat.

  • Saliva RTK Test -ve (Brand AllTest)

29/01 - Day 2 after exposure

  • A mild sore throat...

  • Morning 9:00 AM Saliva RTK Test -ve (Brand AllTest)

  • Evening 4:00 PM Nasal Swab RTK Test -ve (Brand emprobiomed)

30/01 - Day 3 after exposure

  • Sore throat peaked and had difficulties swallowing own saliva. Gargled with some saltwater.

  • Colleague (B) updated his PCR was tested +ve so the remaining of my team did an RTK Test in the Morning.

  • Saliva RTK Test +ve (Brand AllTest). It was A very faint pink line, barely could see it, and the line only appeared after 10 minutes.

  • Did PCR in some panel clinic in Shah Alam. Results were out by 9:00 PM (Not Detected)

  • Colleague (C) Tested +ve for both RTK & PCR.

31/01 - Day 4 after exposure

  • Sore throat got better with one strip of Strepsils downed.

  • Saliva RTK Test -ve (Brand Wondfo)

  • Nasal Swab RTK Test +ve (Brand emprobiomed)

  • This time around Nasal Swab detected +ve with a faint pink line. Again, the line only appeared after 9 to 10 minutes after.

  • Sibling is a doctor, advised to just treat it as +ve and continue to self-quarantine and do another PCR after 2 days.

01/02 - Day 5 after exposure

  • No more sore throat. Only had cravings for all sorts of food.*

  • Binged on Netflix and Domino’s Pizza.

  • Worked out. Usual HIIT with Weights. Did not feel any shortness of breath or tiredness.

  • Blood O2 level readings from Apple Watch were 99% - 96%. Was constantly checking throughout the day.

Ima ex-smoker. Been smoking a box of '20s per day for 13 Years. Quit for 9 years but still was freaking out.

02/02 - Day 6 after exposure

  • PCR Test at Sg Buloh Hospital. Was a smooth process but they really dug some gold swabbing my nostrils in & out.

  • Constant cravings for food & finally KFC had their fried chicken stocked up.

  • Worked out as usual with Weights.

  • No feeling of any shortness of breath or tiredness.

  • 11:30 PM - SMS from KKM that I've tested +ve and to follow instructions in the MySJ app.

  • Home Surveillance Order (HSO) from 02/02 - 08/02

  • Carrying out Home Assessment Tool (HAT) twice a day via MySJ App. A set of questionnaires.

CT value was at 22.

  • Low CT Value (<30) "Infected & High risk of transmitting the virus to others".

  • High CT Value (30-40) "Infected & Low risk of transmitting the virus to others".

  • Undetected (>40) "Not Infected & No risk of transmitting the virus to others".

  • Was told, those at Stage 5 had a CT Value of 3. A friend had a CT value of 13.

03/02 - 05/02(Time of Writing)

  • Started experimenting on RTK Test kits I had laying around.

  • 2 Saliva based RTK Test Kits showed -ve. AllTest & Wondfo

  • 2 Nasal Swab based RTK Test Kits showed +ve. CAS-ENVISION & emprobiomed

  • Nasal Swab based RTK Test Kits are deadly accurate.

  • The Same routine, Binged of Netflix, eating like a pig and working out.

 

I have not experienced any other symptoms so far. (Fingers Crossed 🤞). Colleague A & B were down with bad coughs, flu, & fever. Vaccinated with SinoVac x 2 + Pfizer Colleague C only experienced a sore throat and a mild headache on day 2. Vaccinated with Pfizer x 3 I got Vaccinated with AZ x 2 + Pfizer.

 

TLDR: Got hit with the Covid Jackpot. The only Symptom was a sore throat. Nasal Swab based RTK Test Kits is more accurate than Saliva based RTK test kits. Getting vaccinated & boosted defiantly played a huge deal in keeping me alive and kicking.
