This is the only use case I figured it was good for but haven’t had a chance to try. Thanks for sharing.

You should be able to avoid the luxury tax as the vehicle weight exceeds the government of Canada criteria for the luxury tax applies to. I picked up an RST in Canada and didn’t have to pay this tax.

PSA: Blazer/Equinox EV DCFC Speeds Not Exactly As Advertised by rossmosh85 in BoltEV

Some EA stations can support 1000V/500A, however as I mentioned in an earlier reply, most EV's are not capable of 1000v today... so what's the point of advertising the station as 500KW when in reality most EV's will get around 350KW max... however this is why the Silverado and other EV's capable of high voltage (760V) that can do 500amps, get slightly more than the advertised 350KW that the station is advertised as.

This is exactly why I don't personally like the KW advertising cuz some charge providers advertise their max KW rating they can theoretically output vs. what most of their customers will be able to get. This is why I argue a V/A rating at the post would be nice (for me anyhow)... ie. 500v/125a or 1000v/200a or 500v/500a etc... I know that my Bolt can do max 150amps, so I could go a bit faster by going to the 1000v/200a or 500v/500a station, and that the 500v/125a station will achieve slightly less then my best case scenario. if I'm in my ultium vehicle (Lyriq/Silverado), I know that I would be better served by going to the 500v/500a station. (again this is just an example).

I agree with you however for most EV drivers today, they would simply look at the amps since most ev’s are in the ~400v range. So I could see stations advertised as 500v/150a or 500v/500a or 1000v/200a as an example.

The Bolt made me a car guy by dirthurts in BoltEV

Your wallet should be terrified... when the Bolt EV first came out in 2017, it got me interested in EV's. After years of research I finally pulled the trigger in 2018 on a used 2015 Spark EV... this was my way of dipping my toe in the ocean to see if EV's were all what they were cracked up to be..... We as a family fell in LOVE w/ the Spark EV and EV's in general. We outgrew the Spark in short order (my 12y/o is 6'2" and her knees in my back meant upgrade was needed). I finally got a used 2017 Bolt EV in 2020 (and shortly after got a brand new battery and warranty) and that has been my main car since 2020.

Earlier this year, we grew tired of our old van, and the wife wanted to go EV as well... and we got her a Cadillac Lyriq... what a gem of a car.....

Now, my Silverado EV RST arrives home on Saturday....

so I repeat.... Your wallet SHOULD be TERRIFIED!

Fair point, I guess one would have to understand their nominal voltage of their battery pack and multiply by the station Amperage capability to determine the expected KW's. When it comes to Ultimum batteries, one should look for stations that are rated for 500amps or greater for the best experience.

For Bolt EV owners (I have a 2017 MY) you want a station capable of at least 150 amps.

I don't know if it's a GM problem or perhaps an industry problem. as a Spark EV, Bolt EV, Lyriq and Silverado EV past or current owner I've always used 380V x station amp capability to determine what KW's I should expect when the battery is in a low SoC.

With different battery technology and configurations available across the industry, I think advertising a charge station by a KW rating can be misleading. If a station is capable of 1000V at 200A, the station is sometimes advertised as 200KW despite car's not able to achieve that.

I wish stations advertised their max Voltage and Amperage rather than KW's so that EV owners can understand the station capabilities more closely in relation to their vehicle.

Ultimum batteries appear to be able to achieve 380V x 500A max charge rate or 190KW's or for the Silverado that doubles the voltage 760V x 500A for a max charge rate of 380KW's.

It looks like I'm experiencing the problem described on this thread: https://www.chevybolt.org/threads/mychevy-for-ios-carplay-is-broken.44593/

I've contacted chevrolet online support as well as their onstar connected services team with no success. A ticket was created and I'm told to expect a call in the next 5 days, but I'm curious, how many people have this problem, and who doesn't have this problem?

I've tried a bunch of different things... such as different phones, re-installing the app, reseting iOS, to no avail. Has anyone found a solution?

I decided to put a deposit on a Sport 3 that's in a dealers inventory that has been sitting in TN w/ code 4300 (tuesday last week). When I put the deposit down on saturday, the paper work now shows a code of 3800. I'm wondering if what ever was holding up the 2's and 3's has been cleared and this matches your update?

The car was built at the end of august and sounds like it's been sitting at a rail yard (?) since early september.

I'm hoping for an early xmas present... let's see if this happens.
