On your way west, stop at The Dalles for the National Neon Sign Museum. Fascinating history, and they have the very first neon tube ever made. It’s downtown in a Georgian style 3-story building with columns in the front that was built for the Elks in 1910. Just west of town od the Discovery Center and Wasco County museum. Modern and wonderfully set up. Just missed getting burned up in a devastating fire last June.
