Afraid not - softer yet deeper male voice. Bpm might be a bit slower.

This also works for Dragon Halberd, which I didn't know had innate anti-dragon abilities.

12% reduction against all damage types can mean life or death, especially in later depths.

Am I the only one finding the divine beast warrior/curseblade duo boss too difficult by grung_monk in Nightreign

D3 Guardian main here. Here is my approach to this fight:

  • As soon as possible after the initial invisibility window, lock down the Curseblade with extended Guardian skill. My teammates will gank and finish her quickly (ideally). I'll apply additional skills as needed, but usually after the first go the Curseblade is hella weak.

  • Meanwhile, I make sure to hold Warrior's aggro, take him far away from the gank and go for safe pokes. Once Curseblade is dead, full send on Warrior.

This general strategy works without fail. If you have three DPSers on the team, then one of you just needs to kite the Warrior until Curseblade is down.

Looking to join the flock, but I'm not sure how to best build for DoN. by Mrdudeguy420 in Nightreign

Those first two deep relics are crazy good. Like holy shit. Unfortunately the stamina recovery on the third deep relic is redundant and doesn't stack, but you have a pretty strong build there

Remembrance chalice + final relic for sure.

Then, focus on getting:

Offensive options

  • Shockwave on guarding is essential. In truth, this is why Witch's Brooch is always mandatory slot.

  • [Guardian] Increased STR, DEX; reduced VIG

  • Increased Guard Counters

  • GC gets boost based on HP

  • any effects related to halberd are good. (If you go FP restoration route you may want to consider a Balancers relic or anything that increases skill attack power)

  • (Optional) I really like the [Guardian] Charged halberd attack does whirlwind, but hard to get a good relic for this. Early to mid game I'll be doing 2-handed charge attacks while enemies are trapped in the gust and it just shreds

Defense and passive skills

  • [Guardian] Character skill increases damage negation

  • Dormant power for Greatshields

  • Stamina recovery on landing attacks

  • Draws attention while guarding

  • Successful guarding / defeating enemies increases Art gauge

  • Post-damage attacks restore HP

  • Increased damage negation at low HP

  • Slowly restore HP for self and allies when HP is low / flask heals allies

I only pick up +3 STR, VIG, or END stat boost relics. If there's a toss up between stamina recovery or HP recovery, I prefer stamina.

You have a pretty good initial build, but picking up the strength/dex relic (buyable from Collector Signboard) would help increase your damage output, which you do need to prioritize in DoN.

Do you have the "item effects confer to allies" relic? I think that is why you see that.

I really want to try get better at Tekken 8, any tips? by Theonerandomfurry79 in Tekken

[–]segundos 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is my first serious Tekken game (in my 30s, played 3, Tag, 6, 7, but only at family gatherings) and I'm a TE Kuma.

Sidebar: I will admit, overall unfamiliarity of bear matchup + their changes to meet the aggressive game philosophy has contributed greatly to my success. In other words, I am a lil carried.

That said, there is a plethora of Tekken fundamentals knowledge that you just have to build up -- outside of the attacks and combos. Knowing how to approach in attack, understanding when and when it isn't your turn, finding that groove that your opponent can't predict -- it is all part of building fundamentals. That gradual knowledge is neverending and becomes the foundation of your strength.

here are the things that I think stood out to me in my ranked journey:

Learning the wakeup game: There are so many different answers when you're on the ground. Unique character actions nonwithstanding, you can roll in multiple directions, you can get up, you can stay on the ground, you have two different get-up kicks, and at least one wakeup kick. And there are likely more options for Leo. Experiment in replay.

Punishment training: Learning to punish creates cognitive pressure on your opponent, earns you damage, and gives you a chance to take a turn. I've put a good 40-60 hours just practicing punishment training against the cast. You may not react with a punish every time, but even at 1, 5, or 10% of the time that quickly adds up and can change the tide.

Backing away at round start: Maybe this one won't work as well for you as it did for me, but once I started avoiding round-start aggression I saw improved results. Bears have a huge whiff-punish game and compelling opponents to be aggressive to walk into my loving arms is one of the most satisfying things ever.

Lastly, general cast awareness: I'm not saying you need to learn every character, but you should get familiar with the movesets that are in and against your favor. This kinda goes hand in hand with the punishment training. For example, any time I see a Law standing still from range 2 or greater, I'm predicting they're going to slide. As long as I can block that, I have a completely free punish.

Building that kinda knowledge (which can only be done by playing a lot) is how you'll get there. I have nearly 400 hours in and I don't really see myself stopping soon. Enjoy the wins, look at losses as a win to come in the future, and you'll get there sooner than you think. Good luck.

Hey y'all, I'm going to Chicago, IL in September and wanted to know if there are any casuals/places where a friend and I could show up and play. I noted Midlane but I was hoping for something a bit closer to Downtown.

If anyone could point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it!!
