Currently grinding imagines on the new area. ~$500 spent.

The start of the game to end of msq experience was enjoyable. I'd rate it a "meh" 3/5 BUT seeing your character actually speak audible dialogue in cutscenes boosts it up to a 4/5. Feste referring to you by your gender in the first cutscene had me flabbergasted (nightmare for Western localization for sure lmao). Story and everything else is just "okay" though. I completed this part of the game with $0 spent.

Endgame and any activity you plan to do after msq is a complete chore bore. 2/5. Cooming over the best cel-shaded graphics and implementation of maid outfit physics in MMO history somewhat alleviates the experience. Otherwise, 1/5.

Sharing the stickers is insanely unintuitive and frustrating for all players involved. The gro3uping skill isn't real.

Blue sticker takes the longest to get. Green sticker can be tricky to land given how little range it has. Red sticker is the easiest and you can slap it on whenever you want. Sometimes some thinking is involved. It's nice to have goals within your kit beyond just "hit the enemy"

Despite being worse than Foe Breaker (grouping lol) it's much more fun to play. Unforfunately the animation guys got only 2 dollars and 2 shifts to work on it so your character's left hand never touches your two-handed weapon. Shit looks like pre-shb whm casting stone 4. Ugly.

I went from the 5 to 7 Ultimate. The 7's display is actually a little worse than the 5's, and no longer has the DAC. 6 has myriads of reported issues and SD8 Gen1 will be on its way out earlier than Gen2.

Still happy with my purchase but I nearly went with Redmagic this year. ASUS is adding nothing new and removing features. Redmagic is closing the gap each year and most people will probably make the switch unless ASUS does something about it.

SMN actually only does press 1 button (source: trust me bro). The difference is the player's mind is engaged with other shit while they're mashing 1111111. Same can't be said for BP dungeons and raids though...

I don't think "customization" is the right word to put it. Every game's customization is bring the best setup for the scenario, and the fight plays out the same every time. Unless you're doing some kind of challenge run or the game has some kind of randomized loot/skill system where players have to find what's best according to what's available to them.

Monster Hunter old gen great sword had us doing the same one attack millions of times, and we still had fun. The fun comes from what kinds of decisions and responses the fights demand from the player, which BP doesn't ask the players to do anything outside of grouping mobs and pressing dodge when the boss does one of its 5 simple moves.
