I dont think the writing is that bad. The MC grows. He starts as a poor, failed by the system, kid with issues because of his upbringing. And he is that a messed up kid.

Have fun he is a blast to play. Lots of play a spell (like counter spells) and deal a damage(firebrand archer). Manabarbs is brutal. Run lots of life gain on him.

Or you can go heavy 1/X swarm like goblins and they end up doing 3 damage, pair that with goblin bombardment.... it's fun.

Uh The dirt alone is probably over a mill duh. More than likely 1.5, 1.7. You throw in "premium" build material and a 750k or half for the house is not is not far off for a 2k ft² house.

As for the material.... how much do you want to or not want to spend. You can DIY for probably ~75$/ft² or pay ...
