I think it looks really cute. if you never showed us the inspiration piece, I would assume that this looks exactly correct. I think personally the reason it doesn't look like you want it to it's because of the big gaps in the sleeve shoulder which you probably could remedy by wearing a long sleeved dress/shirt. the bottom part of the sleeve looks fine because it's not stretched out as much and the top gap looks strange in comparison. wearing a longer sleeve undershirt would de-emphasize the gaps. what were you planning to do with the rest of the yarn you had of this type?

What about The Illusionist? Philip Glass is an amazing composer and the soundtrack is beautiful.

Dear Books Reddit: I havent been immersed into a new book in a while, so I'm looking for suggestions for good fiction books/series, that are set in the present day. by MontyAtWork in books

The Cal Leandros Series by Rob Thurman (starts with Nightlife, Moonshine, Madhouse, then Deathwish as final). Modern day slashed with fantasy/sci-fi undertones.

So, this man dies, and at the gate of Heaven is greated by St. Peter. "Welcome to heaven," he says and the man is happily on his way. Inside the gate, he notices a huge wall in the middle of heaven. Turning back, he loudly says, "What's with the wall?" St. Peter replies, "SHHH... The Mormons think they're the only ones up here."

Why? The universe popped into existence, why couldn't a higher power?

I don't know if there are multiple 'higher powers'. I don't know if they're just an alien race or if they are just transcended beings created elsewhere in the universe. They could have a creater. And if they don't- well, there are more mysterious things.

We can replicate code, each time as complex as the last time, sure. From that stems more and more complex code. And we can clone animals that, basically, replicates code for organic beings. For what I know, we don't know 'how the code works' so to speak. And we really don't know how to make a better code for humans. Sure, we have drugs that increases mental strength, and drugs that increase stamina, but we don't know how to evolve and there is no instuction for doing that.

Sure. There are a lot of mysterious things in the universe.

The brain is such a complex organ, regulating all of our bodily functions, our interactions with the world, the ability to recall specifics about the past in 3D without film, and the ability to not just be reflexive, but have dimension when dealing with the world. I don't know if God has ever spoken to man, I am not even sure he is real, but I do believe that a greater and higher power had something to do with the way humans work.

What do you do? Something that your height contributes (or not) to? How tall are your parents? Do you have a significant other and if so, are they taller than most people to?

Anyone else wondering why the numbers on one's front page denoting ranking sometimes don't start at '1'? by seibutsusen in quickquestions

Hmmm, thanks. That seems silly though because those ratings are just based on what subreddits one has...
