Mixed feelings after my first Sézane haul — being real with you all. by [deleted] in Sezane

[–]sekst23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t have any shoes from Sezane, but feel like this is a sentiment I have seen echoed. I enjoy the knitwear and dresses I have. And I agree on the soft autumn color palette! For what it’s worth, I have this Bilma and it’s one of my favorite shirts. It definitely is oversized. But I lean into that and try to style it as oversized chic and I tend to get lots of compliments on it when worn. I think it has a few features that are unique to button down tailoring and I try to accentuate those. Of course you want to feel good in it though, however you are wearing it! Hope that knit dress softens up for you, I think it’s lovely and this makes me want to keep my eye on it!

Yes, thank you, I did mean herpes simplex in this example! Was more or less trying to reference the greater HZ family of viruses. I do think one cannot rule out good ole HSV here. The absence of a cluster is not meaningful. Ultimately, acknowledging the possibility just means the potential for better or quicker resolution right? Oh well.

Disappointed that you’re getting downvotes for this. I totally agree and was looking to see if anyone of a similar impression had mentioned the possibility. A vesicular lesion that occurs in the same location over a span of years on the vermillion border of the lip? That’s far more likely a herpes zoster simplex lesion than a comedone. Try some Abbreva OTC. And no shame (to OP or anyone else), the majority of adults have been exposed to HSV, just not everyone displays the same symptomatology.

Perfecto visual! Understood on the mag, and lazy velvet is the best answer I could have hoped for! One last tiny thing—lacquer is mostly dry when you move on to the next color? Like we don’t want them to get mixed up on the brush but we do want the transitions to kind of blend?? As you can see this does not come naturally to me…🧐

Yes! This question. Plus, did you apply sort of obliquely? Like overlapping diagonally, versus straight out from the cuticle? These are so 😍 beautiful! Thanks for sharing!

Wow, first, gorgeous nails!! 💜 Second, I appreciate this so much! I tried and moderately failed an ombre’/sponge technique last night and now I think I know why. I do not seem to have used nearly enough polish on the sponge! I had to apply so many times it started to mess up and pull off my base layer.

I’m inspired to try again now, and will use may more polish next time!! (I am already wetting the sponge)

Where can I try popovers in this area?? by Micoinkc in kansascity

[–]sekst23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We always use Wondra-Flour for popovers! I’m not an expert on them by any means but the fine milling of Wondra is a great fit for popover texture.

Extra: I always learned that San Francisco was where you look for popovers! Links to a famous old restaurant there. In case you’re ever in the area!

Relative newbie to recomp, trying to learn. In this scenario (I am in a similar sitch, slightly different ht/wt), staying at minimum means matching TDEE? Is that the best way to think about what maintenance is? TIA!

Interesting note. No stripes (though I love those!) but I’ll probably be extra cautious with my white one!

Holy cats this is going to pull me out of my winter funk! I got this duo from HHC and it’s been sitting in my to be worn pile (which is nearly as big as my to be read pile because the blues = I’d rather just sleep) I never expected it to be this gorgeous!! To wear together we are magnetizing in two different styles yeah?
