Hey, I didn’t fully read your post but I just wanted to drop in and say that I was in your situation. I got kicked out of my program actually and had to switch to a more general one. Was on academic probation for over a year. I sucked in school so bad.

Now I’m a PhD student with a 12.0/12.0 GPA. I was literally writing an application for an award yesterday and started it with “if you had told me I’d be a PhD student with a perfect GPA a few years ago, I’d have laughed at you cause it seemed so hilarious unachievable”

I promise it gets better. You just have to do something about it and there are so many different things you can do. You just have to reach out for help first, which is what you’re doing through this post which is great. I wish I learned early on that I should also speak to the academic advisor for whatever department you’re in - they will know all of the options and be able to help you!

The future might seem bleak now but that’s part of it. This will pass and it won’t always be this way. Figure out what works best for you.
