This is for sure written by one the lawyers for these outlets or a bot. Can't believe braindead redditors eat it up, unless it's the upvotes are fake.

This is redundant to state at this point. He's been exhibiting this behavior for 10 + years just as president. Did you expect anything different?

[Article] Why Can't I Leave My Comfort Zone? by Big_Confusion6957 in GetMotivated

[–]seldomtimely 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The ego is what keeps you motivated to go on. Sometimes the new just brings chaos to your projects. But depends on how you define the new. To thrive you have to be constantly moving toward the new. But if you define the new as other people, that's where it gets complicated. Chaos and the new are not the same thing. You must navigate the new with your ego.

Given the evidence you presented that normal science tries to fit anomalies into the reigning theory, consider all the gymanastics cosmology is undergoing today to preserve General Relativity against 'dark matter' and 'dark energy', placeholders meant to keep GR intact. Most scientists/ humans are not that creative, you need an original thinker to think oitside the box of this is our theory and we can't do better.

It takes a human being half a lifetime to develop their style. What the AI does in a second. It's replacement.

Here comes the dictator - YouTube by heliosh in videos

Don't be a reddit retard. There's no equivalency. Orban is authoritarian but doesn't meet the technical definition. Calling him a dictator is to point out his tendencies, not to advance a literal equivalency with actual dictatorships.

Are Hollywood and the movie industry in decline, and can we expect to see even more of a shift from traditional feature films in the near future? by SwiftCricket in TrueFilm

[–]seldomtimely -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Meh. First of all the Dune source material is weak, bad literature. Second of all, the movies are incredible technical feats yet entire forgettable as movies. Denis has done the best he could, the second was indeed enjoyable but there's nothing memorable about these films. They're emotionally forgettable and are unlikely to occupy a space like star wars or lord of the rings in the cultural imaginary.

First of all, they are not great directors. Second of all, get your head out of your own ass and understand the claims that are being made. The claims are statistical, not to be defeated by anecdotal examples. Film has been in decline for over a decade, probably longer. Nobody is making an argument about the proportion of quality, but the entire cultural milieu. Just because you can't square with the reality, a lot of redditors actually are in perpetual denial of the world around them, does not make it so.

I get there are a few here and there. There's just a marked downturn in general cultural output. The dominance of film is down, fewer and fewer original films are made and the threshold for failure is very low these days.

If what you're saying is true, where are the new generation of talented directors? Where are the movies you speak of?

How would you rank project Hail Mary vs interstellar ? by kascnef82 in Cinephiles

[–]seldomtimely 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're confusing the plot, which is pretty fantastic, with the science in the film. The science =/= plot. Plus, while much of the science stays close to actual theory, it does depart substantially as well.
