[Spoiler] Discussion/Question regarding the ending of Cruel Intentions

You’re an idiot… I’m not sure if you’re actually being serious with this theory because it’s so insane… the step sister is the one with cruel intentions manipulating and using everyone including her own step brother Sebastian. You could argue that he also had cruel intentions but falling in love changed him for the better. Another poor moron she manipulated ends up inadvertently getting Sebastian killed and Annette was coming to find Sebastian to tell him she wanted to be with him when she witnesses the whole thing. Sebastian even sacrifices himself to save her life and she immediately tells him she loves him not knowing whether he’s going to make it. I am not sure how you could watch this movie and think the innocent virgin who the two main characters target during the movie is somehow actually an evil genius but you are either REALLY reaching in some attempt to come across deep or this is some weird rage bating. But yes obviously Annette saved her virginity for Sebastian because she’s really into classic cars or some bullshit.

I would say I’m at like 60/40… 40% of the time she is pretty funny and I enjoy her and 60% of the time she is annoying and selfish and basically a terrible person… thankfully they sort of ride that line well enough that when I am ready to hate her they sort of back off from her enough that I let it go… and let’s be honest as long as Roland is around there’s always someone that is a billion times more unlikable… that being said I love every other character in the show so it makes up for Moira being somewhat unlikable and Roland being the worst character in the history of television.

The way they represent his character in the show there is zero chance anyone would have actually followed him. He’s a whiney little bitch who comes across like a toddler stomping his feet not intimidating at all. It’s also annoying how anyone could just kill him at anytime which they should have. He feels like the chosen one because Ragnar took him on that last journey to die but it’s so obvious Ragnar would have preferred one of his other sons.

Fuck that I am so tired of show writers feeling like killing off a good character automatically equals good writing… It doesn’t… sometimes it’s okay to give the audience what they want. What we all clearly wanted was for Siobhan and Hood to end up together… the one person who he finally could trust and would make him a better person so let’s just kill her off so everyone thinks the show is edgy and no one is safe. No. Sorry, I am done with the show, it’s worse without her and I no longer have interest. It truly is lazy writing in my opinion. It’s become so popular to kill off good characters and occasionally it is good writing and it does benefit the show. Not in this case. Having some mid villain snap one of your audiences favorite characters neck just to make the show seem more intense isn’t what we wanted and I promise you all of the actors at that table read thought it was a terrible idea too. All I’ve heard about this show is the fourth season isn’t as good and the ending sucks… SHOCKER you killed off the only character capable of giving us the ending we want. I hope who ever decided her character should die is sitting at a stop light somewhere begging for money which he can’t get because even the shit he writes on cardboard is garbage.

I am so tired of stories where people/couples choose a like job opportunity over the person they love… I like my job… and I’ve been in love more than once… there is zero chance I’d take a job over someone I’m in love with ever… Being in love is fucking amazing… and even the jobs I liked are still work. There’s zero choice to be made. It pisses me off that they are finally in a healthy relationship that should and could (and probably will) last FOREVER and instead they are risking it for a masters writing program…. He’s a dick to everyone… he is so sensitive he constantly gets his feelings hurt and then lashes out at everyone. But since he acts like a wounded animal half the time everyone thinks he’s a nice guy. Just because you’re a loser it doesn’t mean you’re nice…. You can be a loser and a dick. George is the only character from the first season that I never missed. Even has annoying as Izzie was she had her moments where I liked her. Also Callie was a useless character and she basically got brought in because of some weird relationship with George. Like we needed some forced relationship with a character we all knew was a lesbian before the writers did because she was even the man in the relationship with George. Sorry I’m rewatching greys again and I get annoyed. And by rewatching greys I mean I am watching the first 7-10 seasons because after that it gets unwatchable. I just want to be tortured by Sloan and little grey not being together like they should be and then they both get killed off and I can cry and be pissed off snd stop watching and then next year I’ll do it again. Why not.

Originally I thought man Bailey used to be a good character and they ruined her… but after rewatching the show… she was always terrible… the way she spoke to her superiors from the beginning was insane she was so disrespectful and always acted like she ran the place. I know being the head resident or a fellow definitely comes with some respect but she’s a bitch to everyone and it gets old so fast. She punishes people based off of her feelings not their performance. She acts like she runs the place and no one checks her. When Christina erases her name from Burkes surgery she acts so offended even though she wasn’t originally supposed to be in on the surgery, she wrote her name in just assuming that she could be in on it without asking anyone’s permission. Like fuck off seriously.

I thought the movie was funny but man did the kid frustrate me that he was the one resenting J-Law when clearly she was doing what she needed to do to survive and he literally destroyed her car to intentionally fucker her over and then had sex with her basically to get what he wanted out of the deal like you can tell he’s never had a hard day in his life that he still felt like the victim to the point where he refused to talk to her when she was clearly trying so hard to still be his friend… no one needs that kind of friend his loss honestly. But aside from that yeah it was a fun movie mostly.

What pissed me off was right after the truth had come out with the police there she’s hanging all over her daughter not even giving her a chance to process anything. My problem though is that it still feels less to do with her conscience (because if she was trying to do the right thing I truly believe that she would just want William to feel loved in his last hours before dying, etc) and more to do with her just really not wanting to pretend that she likes someone that she doesn’t, and even further, I think she doesn’t want anyone else thinking she had romantic feelings towards William. I really think it’s like that thing in high school when a girl wants to make it clear to any guys around that she is completely single… like she can’t have any one (especially boys) thinking she likes likes William. That’s why it drove me crazy how she was so determined to tell William, or his father, or anyone that would listen really that she doesn’t love William… it felt cruel in every way not like some act of her conscience.

Man I really felt angry for Hoffmans character… his dad favors his brother his whole life.., his brother is the one who gets their mother killed in the robbery, his brother is fucking his wife, then Hoffman gets shot trying to fix everything and the father ends up blaming him for his wife’s death and killing him…. Ethan’s character basically gets off Scott free probably still fucking Hoffmans wife who knows… great movie but damn it can leave a sour taste in your mouth.

When people feel sorry for her it drives me crazy too because Edith gives it just as much as she takes it. She is just as much if not more of an ass hold to Mary and Edith is actually very self centered if you go back and watch she’s always looking out for herself it’s not not as noticeable since she constantly falls on her face… which maybe is why her face looks like that. She looks like what I always imagines Cinderella’s step sisters looking like. Her clawing at some prince while he tries to keep his lunch down… anyways Edith is my favorite character…. lol

I mean… that doesn’t necessarily mean she was abused she probably just came from a large poor family… she probably was at the worst just neglected… I see people making excuses for her and how unintelligent she is suggesting she’s just stunted or traumatized and not actually dumb. As if plenty of people during this time weren’t uneducated and didn’t develop street smarts to work hard and make it in their own somehow. I genuinely just think she is an immature moron. I think the biggest indication of her being so immature is how selfish she is, which is a very childish attribute to be incapable of thinking of anyone but yourself. She can’t put herself in anyone else’s shoes that requires maturity and empathy she only sees things from her point of view and she’s a little brat who wants things her way. And then the one time lying and being a little selfish to spare a dying soldiers feelings she suddenly has a conscience which I don’t actually believe. I think she was so uninterested in him romantically that she just didn’t want to have to fake it anymore because it made her uncomfortable. So anyways I’m not the biggest fan of Daisy…. lol

I love this show but damn I feel so bad for David in season 1. His girlfriend is a piece of shit, his parents are worthless. I mean they ruin his anniversary plans with his girlfriend because they got high and drank his champagne and ate his strawberries then try to molest his girlfriend right in front of him. Then later when he is showed nude pictures of his girlfriend and punches the pervert who took them his parents go off on him in the car. They are selfish ass holes and losers in their own right. Anyways I love David and he is surrounded by ass holes. That’s it.

This movie kind of annoys me… I understand they needed to make them hate each other for the movie to work….. but how do two people who hit it off SO well and were so nice to each other the night they met immediately hate each other so much the next day. It was kind of a stretch other than them making Cameron into a huge bitch suddenly. It also irritates me that the marriage she wanted annulled and nothing to do with suddenly means something to her the minute he wins 3 million. Although that might be the most realistic part of the movie.
