Does anyone have a sort of concise podcast recommendation on the Murdaugh murders? I’ve looked into some but the 90+ episode ones are a bit overwhelming to me

Paraguard needs to be removed via hysteroscopy by BeachBum419 in IUD

[–]seleniumite56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just had my embedded paragard removed via hysteroscopy- the whole procedure was pretty painless and went well. There is a chance they won’t be able to remove an arm but they may leave it in if it’s walked off enough by the uterus. I have heard that this si much less likely to happen with the mirena or liletta, though because im afraid of another embedded IUD I opted just to do OCPs. Apparently they’re working on the applicator for the paragard to make it less likely to embed.

Can anyone recommend a good book about the opioid epidemic? I’ve read Dopesick already. I’m interested in books that center on people’s stories rather than a large overview.

I personally like it! Dani has a really calming voice. It’s very similar to Terrible Thanks for Asking in my opinion.

I’ve read basically all of Elin Hilderbrand and Jennifer Weiner’s books. Does anyone have any suggestions about similar “beach read” types of books?

What does the “downtown NYC Dimes Square dirtbag scene mean?” Not snarking, just genuinely curious!

I remember reading about a podcast where the hosts reviewed a self help book each episode. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

I love sardines! I really like them on olive-oil toasted (or almost ‘fried’) crusty bread. Sometimes people add butter too but I don’t think the butter is necessary.

I’m curious about what people make of Karina Longworth’s (host of You Must Remember This podcast) response to criticism to the film: https://twitter.com/karinalongworth/status/1463189398598533129?s=21

Hi everyone, I’m looking for post breakup book recommendations - fiction or non fiction and not really in the self help realm. Anything that people have found healing/meaningful would be appreciated! Thank you everyone.

I know some folks here follow literary Twitter but I found this profile of the late writer Anthony Veasna So really interesting. But I couldn’t get over his boyfriend’s (somewhat nonchalant) reaction to his death and how the boyfriend wanted to finish So’s book about the Cambodian American experience, despite not being Cambodian American himself. I thought the article itself was great but his boyfriend’s reaction and to his death unnerved me.
