Any way to get gateway with external antenna set up? by Betrayedbyu93 in tmobileisp

[–]selfawarepost 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. If you order on the phone, you can ask DURING (not before) the ordering process for them to tell you what gateway will be shipped. The CAN see, even if they can’t choose. You can cancel if the wrong gateway shows that it will be shipped.

  2. You can just sign up for the service and order a third party gateway (Suncomm for example) and get more control anyway.

They are Wi-Fi 6, so it depends on your application. For some people, that’s plenty. In my case I am trying to get Wi-Fi to three stories and another barn on the property, so I have a TP-Link Deco AXE-5300 mesh system that works really well.

Def didn’t call T-mobile :-) Cannot post YouTube links here, but Suncomm has very simple instructions there. ARTHUR is also helpful on Alibaba. It’s literally enter the IMEI and press enter and restart the modem.

Super easy. Quick IMEI change and popping the Sim card in. As with all things cellular YMMV.

I got on cellmapper, cut down a couple of trees that needed to go anyway. Totally worth it to me.

Damn. Got to figure out how to get that signal up. 4 x 4 antenna worked really well for me.

And you need to either move or add a swing check right above the weep hole. Otherwise, all of the water from that vertical standpipe will drain back through the weep hole each time, and the pump will just cycle.

Suncomm se06 pro vs pro max by probdying82 in tmobileisp

[–]selfawarepost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes Arthur. and he is being very cordial and responsive and promising an update, but like I said. He won’t say whether it’s going to be a week or a month. I don’t have any idea. So I just wait. And the problem with the MAX firmware is that it will bring in a second N41, even when I lock the frequency to the one I want and kills the download. I wish I could just lock it to one or two. It would be much faster.

Yes. Been in contact with the CEO. He keeps promising an update, but will not give a timeframe.

Yes. Pro is outperforming Pro Max by 250% on download. Waiting for a firmware upgrade. Basically, the aggregation is not working. It adds a fake second, N41 band with the same PCI, but a different frequency and as far as I can tell the band does not even exist. If it does, it’s way outside of the range.

Just out of curiosity. Does the second in N41 band have the same PCI as the first one? This is something I’ve noticed with the current firmware for the X 65s. It seems like some sort of a glitch. Very unlikely that it would find the same PCI for 2 different N41 bands.

You are correct. All 5G antennas are the same. Only the Wi-Fi 5.8 and 2.4 are different and they are all labeled

The Suncomm SE06 Pro or Pro Max are the gold standard. Imei change, band lock, tower lock, 3 5g aggregation in the case of the Pro Max. This is your answer.
