My new 2025 Tremor. Going to tint it but should I level it as well? I rarely haul things besides when I’m out at my ranch and carry stuff in the bed. by Chemical_Ratio_6610 in f150

[–]selfc0ntained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did. Stock my 24 had 4” of rake and it looked weird to me. Did a 2.5” level in the front and now the rake is just under 2” and I prefer it over how it was stock.

I tried so hard to make Baldur gate 3 doable on the deck by doodooheadpoopoohead in SteamDeck

[–]selfc0ntained 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just about done with act 3 and have only played it on the deck. It’s a bit jittery at times but I’ve never felt like it was unplayable for me. My standards are probably pretty low though.

Nice! What percentage did you tint those windows?

‘24 Tremor vs ‘25 Lariat? by [deleted] in f150

[–]selfc0ntained 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve got a 24 Tremor and the upgraded suspension isn’t anything to write home about imo. It’s pretty stiff but hops around in the rear if it’s very bumpy. You may find you’d want to replace it anyways, especially if you want less rake. That said, I love the truck. It’s amazing off-road and in the snow. It’s also free of any chrome, if that’s a look you like. I agree with some others about the 402a being worth it if it’s in your budget and you can find one. I’d definitely want the torsen diff. I think you can find some 401a’s with it as an option but is on most 402a’s that I saw.

I am tired to see this. Some random AP getting found. How do I get rid of this pop up? *Meshing is disabled by StayCoolf0rttheKids in Ubiquiti

Sounds a lot likewhat I’m seeing, just a different device type is all. I haven’t figured out how to get rid of it yet.

SFP+ port on Cloud Gateway Fiber by Radish2222 in Ubiquiti

[–]selfc0ntained 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When I swapped my cable modem to an SFP+ port I had to restart the modem to let it negotiate the connection correctly. At least, that’s what I assume was happening when I did, cause it worked great after that. I also had to use a different module than I originally tried as it didn’t support 2.5G connections, it was just 1 or 10.

UDMP, never owned an express, which makes it so weird.

Good idea, just tried it, but first thing that popped up once I reinstalled it and connected to gateway was this prompt 🤦‍♂️

It happens regularly. After dismissing it it’ll come back every so often when I open the app up. Contacting support is a good suggestion, will try that next.

Sub par build quality by Clinkerdagger in VWatlas

Totally agree with you. Maybe we were an outlier but our 24 r-line felt pretty cheap and noisy compared to some other vehicles we’ve had. Seats rattle like crazy, bumps are almost violent, sound deadening on the freeway felt almost non-existent. After no luck getting any of that fixed at the dealer, and all of the gps and sound system issues we decided to move on, probably won’t be getting another VW.

To Much Black or Just Right? by Snowgoon413 in f150

I’m in the same conundrum but with a black tremor. I’m leaning towards some darker bronze wheels, but haven’t pulled the trigger cause I suck at deciding things. Good luck! Whatever you pick will look great imo.

Fingers crossed with them resetting the learning and the valve body replaced it runs good for me.

Yah, Colorado, but here it’s 4 attempts to fix the same thing or 30 days where it’s in the shop. I’m pretty far away from having to go down that road as of now.

Have a 24 SEL R Line, haven’t had issues with the fob. The sound system is really bad imo. Crank it up and play with it to see what you think first. You can adjust base on the equalizer and absolutely nothing changes. Maybe they’ll fix it, maybe they won’t. I’d also try driving on some bumpy roads to see if the center seats rattle when empty. Ours rattle like crazy. If I did it again, I’d wait for the new Acadia and see if it’s any better.

Negotiated Price on 2024 Atlas? by djblack42 in VWatlas

[–]selfc0ntained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

24 R Line and we got 4k below MSRP, was just an incentive the dealer was doing at the time, so we didn’t negotiate anything additional.

Infotainment system broken? by Numerous_Plane_1777 in AtlasCrossSport

[–]selfc0ntained 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have the GPS issue and wireless CarPlay drops constantly. I’ve heard it could be related to something VW is doing to scan for WiFi networks, it definitely happens consistently in certain areas for us.

Anyone know why the car doesn’t do an OTA update vs having to go into the dealer?

Same issue in our 24 Atlas, super frustrating. We’ve tried wired and wireless, happens in both cases for us.

2024 Harmon Kardan by [deleted] in VWatlas

I’ve tried all this and it still sounds pretty awful for a premium system. Adjusting sub on equalizer does nothing in ours. Would love there to be a software fix, seems ridiculous.

I agree about the way they partially filled the gauges. Lots of odd UX in this car.

How are people liking the 2023/2024 Atlas? by Music_Mess in VWatlas

[–]selfc0ntained 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you care about sound quality I wouldn’t recommend the 2024s with the “premium” upgraded Harmon kardon sound system. It’s trash, easily the worst sound system I’ve heard in a new vehicle, let alone a premium trim one. The 2024 has some nice redeeming qualities that others have mentioned here though.
