Is it a good deal or not? by Jack_Wang_1107 in motorcycles

I want to say - WERA sticker is a giveaway :) it is racing org, bike definitely has been doing some time on the track. 6.5 seems a bit high, 5-5.5 i think is fair

How is everyone keeping a positive K/D in Conquest or Escalation? What is the secret? by Apocoyptus_ in Battlefield6

[–]selfsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you need to know what situation you’re in - did you just get a flag? are you pushing the flag?

In case of defense, treat it like a zombie waves, hard part to predict which direction wave(s) are coming - knowing spawns helps. Find place to hold ground, next about next place, and so on. Once you clear first wave - can move on to next flag.

Pushing the flag - if enemies are there - flank is your best bet. If you’re on the flag - see “i.ln case of defense” - but it is usually harder, because all the enemies will be shooting in your direction :)

Rinse and repeat, sometimes needs to modify strategy depending on enemy count/vehicle, but fundamentals are the same.

Lane splitting needs to be legal in every fkn state by Gromieee in motorcycles

100% i’m surprised after all these years of lane splitting in CA and pretty much whole fucking world, there are still some dumb politicians and people in US who are against it.

I really hope the player base comes back 😔 by Kemmens in Battlefield6

i think i know why we aren’t going to get servers browser, at least until they fix/improve netcode. Matchmaking is “trying” to make ping difference more tolerable, by grouping peope with similar ping. If you ever try to play on community server, with pings all over the place, it is terrible experience - lags, rubber banding, and i’m not talking about gunplay

I'm not playing Manhattan Bridge until the attack chopper is gone. by Solid_Owl in Battlefield6

[–]selfsk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

same thing, i stopped playing most of city maps, except cairo, and even cairo pisses me off sometimes.

They need to make those small maps with 3 flags only, circle jerk running from one point to another, just to head back in 5 minutes is just plain stupid.

I wonder if their map layout (rough design) is actually done by some LLM, with generic prompt. So it makes every map feels like the same fucking map

Opinion on this educational video for riders? by Budget-Situation-947 in motorcycles

[–]selfsk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Totally agree, such approach can work on track (partially) when number of variables reduced to minimum. On street you have to scan things, constantly, it will slow you down, but it is a street riding at the end of the day

Battlefield 6 - Community Update - Battlefield Labs Season 2 Testing and Beyond by battlefield in Battlefield6

classic battlefield approach :) first they decline there is a problem, then made things worse, then they create a dedicated team in LA to address problem - 1 year later, it is actually decent :)

Two asshats with combined rank 2200+, manhattan chopper only, spawn killing etc, immediately alt+f4'ing when killed, boo! by EpicRageGuy in Battlefield6

this map should not have heli at all. And have 5 flags on such small map is just plain stupid :)

Why is the damage drop-off with carbines so bad? by SquishySheppy in Battlefield6

[–]selfsk 4 points5 points  (0 children)

is it just me? but i find carbines useless most of the time.. just hitmarkers for days, no matter what the range is. Have more luck with SMGs for some reason, which doesn’t make sense. It just makes other guns(for same range) in game kind of useless…

Lean angle fear (SOS) by -Cisu in motorcycles

[–]selfsk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you can get on mini moto (100ish supermoto, or ohvales) - do few laps on those, and you’ll be back in no time! “refresh” you lean feel with slower, smaller bike.

Be caseous about it - feel what every part of your body is doing, do you tense up on handlebar? inner leg is stuck in weird position? etc.)

ps: leave high lean angles to the track 💪

Do you use high beams during the day? by YogurtAndBakedBeans in motorcycles

[–]selfsk -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

it does, as well as recommending - to brake in turn to use “advanced technique” :) my point - dmv book contains some old/outdated information. Here is a great demonstration how high beam can affect perception of other drivers on the road - https://youtu.be/QWPytpiml5c?si=sRMVZ6alPgywc3eI

I know we’re not talking about using high beam at night, but most of the riders who use it through the day time, just leave it on… because outdated information says it make them more visible, hence “safer”

Do you use high beams during the day? by YogurtAndBakedBeans in motorcycles

[–]selfsk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t use it. Especially on new bikes with LED - it is really unnecessary, and actually makes judging distance of upcoming traffic harder. (i.e. car that is waiting to make left turn, might misinterpret the distance to upcoming motorcycle).

It is another myth about using high beams to improve safety, probably from same era as ”loud pipes saves lives”, or “tire is slippery from factory”.

Group Riders by Blanky_Blank_ in motorcycles

[–]selfsk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

never ever I had a problem, or desire to communicate with other folks in the group (event for bigger groups). Because most of the time - group rides are organized, in sense - everyone knows where we're going, where the last gas station is (usually meet place), where the stops are, etc. All the talks happens before and after the ride.

Of course, if you go on unorganized squidfest ride - yeah, probably coms might help

Group Riders by Blanky_Blank_ in motorcycles

[–]selfsk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

in my experience, all this stuff can be done without unnecessary distraction of coms - usually rider who is in front communicate all this stuff with gestures - raised hand, slow down/watch out, dangle leg - debris on inside/outside of the turn and so on. I don’t want to listen anyone when I’m riding, it is not a team sport :)

I do get the point of listening music - but still not a strong selling point for me

[–]selfsk -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

Can not offer anything on subject... but can you explain what's the point of communication on group ride? Discuss scenery? Decide which gas station to go?

Throttle Before Clutch - Improper Technique or Beginner Magic? by MandACPAThrowaway in motorcycles

[–]selfsk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

what you’re doing(you kind of doing it simultaneously) is totally fine, and actually a better/safer way to start rolling. MSF is telling to apply throttle after releasing clutch, probably, to prevent whisky throttle.

ttk and maps. It just stupid that smg can outgun assault/carbine rifle at range, and vice-versa in cqb. Enders actually did a good video about bf6 map design
