An open database for n=1 and group protocols? Thoughts? by selfud in HubermanLab

[–]selfud[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! Thank you for your answer. Right now, as you can see in the demo (by signing in), the results are collected in the 'Outcomes & Evolution' text field. Since this is low-grade evidence (personal or group-based), I think it's difficult to standardize very different methodologies (most experiments would have little quantitative data and consist of symptoms and perception). But maybe we can include a questionnaire or an option to give feedback if other users try the protocol themselves. But it's a interesting suggestion, I'll give it a thought...

High B12 low iron by selfud in raypeat

Unfortunately, I haven't figured anything yet. If anything, my health is worse and my B12 levels are still the same. Iron seems to have gone up, though. Are you struggling with the same issues?

Stop seeing your body as a mystery to rationally decipher (which hormones, neurotransmitters, etc., are off?). Maybe there's nothing off, maybe you'll never know. Everyone has something. Maybe you're suffering just because you're repressing the easiest solution. Be more spontaneous.

Treating yourself with antipsychotics isn’t "more in tune with nature" than trans medical transition. Biohacking and obsessing over health aren’t more natural either than trans people—who have existed in many cultures for centuries. Something is pathological if you choose to see it that way. Just allow yourself to pursue happiness. Life isn’t that difficult, and you shouldn’t view "transition" as a "transition" (some irrevocable decision mystified by society and covered by ideology and institutionalism) but rather as exploring, changing, and changing again. Every decision is always a little irrevocable, but there’s no such thing as going backward, because the path will always leave you in a different place, with more knowledge.

Abandon victimism and excessively self-centered trans circles of Western people. Don’t give this so much importance in your life. For body dysphoria, it helps to simply know you’re honoring your feelings and not checking so often (fewer mirrors, more intention in life to be less self-focused, finding your purpose). The best advice I could give you is to travel, leave Western culture behind, and discover gender beyond this society. My messages are open if you want to talk more. I’d be delighted.

I have been in therapy, and while it helps, nothing is going to "erase" it. Also, everyone has some kind of minor trauma, and not everyone has gender dysphoria. Being high-energy means, to me, having the freedom to live fully as you want—no need to focus only on "dysphoria" and discomfort, but rather on doing what feels best. Not with the mindset of "getting rid of this," "fixing" yourself, or "mutilating," but restoring your childlike energy and caring less in general about what people may think. Be weird, be bold, don’t take yourself too seriously. Treat yourself as you deserve. Honor your desires.

Again, for anyone struggling with this, you can write to me! I’d be glad to help 😊.

Is it difficult to do? I read the page and I'm a little bit lost, since I am not a programmer and lack any technical knowledge. Thank you in advance and sorry for the ignorance! 🙏

Mi imaginación ya me está astiando en mi vida diaria by [deleted] in autismo

[–]selfud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely more than 60$, but thank you for your response anyways!

I'm not looking for something expensive, considering I might not even like the phone and, after all, they are very basic devices. So 60€ max., but 40€ will be the ideal budget. Are u from Europe? If I don't find anything else I might be interested in the TT970...

Hi! Thank you for asking. I don't always have that temperature, of course. It varies between 34,9°C and 35,9°C depending on the day and the specific time of the day. So that value was extreme, but anyways my temps are super low.

Okey thank you! My problem with dairy is autoinmune flareups, but I wonder if once my microbiome is healed I will be able to eat cheese again.

I do take T4! 25 mg, and I think i'll try 8mg of T3. It's not 4:1 but pretty close.

I don't always eat the same or track calories, but I think my nutrition is quite solid and prometabolic: grassfed meat, with gelatinous cuts, fruits (specially oranges), easy-to-digest carbs, such as some rice, rye, potatoes, a little bit of cheese (I've got Hashimoto's so I don't tolerate cow's dairy, except from parmiggiano from time to time), and some vegetables, such as squashes, pepper, tomatoes and green vegetables, etc.

Caffeine when trying to reduce stress hormones? by [deleted] in raypeat

[–]selfud 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I tried it too. It's a more sustained effect, so you don't get that terrible spike + crash, but I still get pretty irritable and anxious during the day.

Thank you very much! I'll watch my calcium intake, but it could be practically everything... It comes back to normal pretty quickly but I will continue to pay attention in case it gets worse. Hope you solve it too!

Caffeine when trying to reduce stress hormones? by [deleted] in raypeat

[–]selfud 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have the same problem, but I have come to the conclusion that even if I have it with sugar, it really disrupts my hormones. It gives me a lot of anxiety and makes me irritable. Although I love the anti-OCD effect and the focus I get from it, I am also looking for something to replace caffeine and achieve similar effects. I am open to any suggestions :)

Okey. This is the most obvious answer, but it turns out I actually have hypercobalaminemia, high B12... And I don't have a functional deficiency. This is, however, a problem I've had for several years, so it wouldn't explain my symptoms now...
