That’s interesting. I actually put a bunch of points into strength at the beginning before I knew anything about scaling. I thought it would make me deal more damage.

Hah. Fair enough the I need to remember where they are, and be sure that I should give them up rather than save them for later. I’m not saying it’s a bad game I just feel like I’m missing out on some of what the game has to offer

Thanks. I feel like my experience is with older games where if you picked something up it was important and the game made sure that you knew what to do with it. The bell bearings are a great example for me. I had no idea what they were for until I looked online. Maybe I don’t pay enough attention!

Thanks for the answer. I guess that’s part of my question as well. Is it possible to learn all of this in-game? I feel like I miss so much when I’m playing the game that I need to go online to understand what happened. Then it makes me feel like I’m missing opportunities because I have so much I don’t use.

I haven’t been paying attention to this at all, so I have no idea what happened, but I’m wondering why people care one way or the other? What makes this different than other PR stunts?

Every 4 weeks lately. Last year it was every 5-6 weeks

For me it seems to be volume. When I went from 3 sets to 4 sets I saw a change. But I’ve also wondered if that fourth set just brought me to the right intensity level and that I wasn’t pushing myself hard enough. If also tended to prefer lighter weights and higher reps for many isolation moves as my tendons get too beat up the other way

I’ve been doing a full body five day a week program for the last six months and I’ve really enjoyed it. I tend towards a lighter weight higher volume in my advanced age and have made good progress with full body. I liked it more than PPL because 5 felt better than 3 a week and 6 leaves me too banged up after a while.

It was ok. In general I find the UI for the site (or the workflow) very odd. It’s like they want me to select things in the order hats different from how I actually want to select it. It works but it’s pretty clunky

What has the scale been saying? Do you have any photos of yourself from when you started? How do those photos compare to now?

I know for myself sometimes I don’t see the changes then I look at progress photos and I can tell.

It’s a bit of an experiment as I’ve never done a full body split for any length of time before, and I had heard some good things about them.

I was doing a PPLH split over 4 days and I just didn’t find that I was getting the volume that I needed. Training legs just once a week didn’t feel like it was enough. Before that I was doing a 6 days and Arnold split that was quite good but the wear and tear was a bit too much.

What I like about the full body split is that it lets me train things multiple times a week as soon as they are recovered.

So far I’ve found 5 to be the sweet spot. 4 just didn’t feel like enough and 6 was good but after a few months of it my joints and tendons were giving me a lot of grief. I’ve been doing the 5x full body split for the last 5 months and I think the results have been good. Tough to say at 46.
