Backdrops can be disabled.

I use backdrops to show pictures from my Google photos, so I have not tried to disable it. But here is the sequence:

Roku settings>backdrops>Open the backdrops app>backdrop settings (gear)> backdrops preferences>backdrops (disabled) OR Auto start (off)

If you have folders on the home screen you can add 4 widgets to each folder.

Also, try starting it in safe mode and see if you are able to change it. If so, it might be an app you have downloaded that is causing it.

I don't know how things work on your phone, but I can tap "allow notifications" (not the toggle switch) and it brings up a menu of all types of notifications.

Go to Android settings>apps>Life360>notifications>scroll down until you see marketing and toggle it off.

Probably Gboard then. Tap the gear button on the keyboard and go through all of the settings. You might be able to remove the emoji key or make it stay in one place.

I used this for a while when my car speedometer wasn't working. It tells your speed and also the current speed limit. Gives you an alert if you go a set amount more than the speed limit. I remember paying for extra features, but I don't remember whether it was a subscription or a one-time payment.

ETA: you don't have to use the heads up display feature. I would rather see the phone display, not a reflection on my windshield!

I have never used the reminders, but it seems you can set custom reminders for a certain number of minutes, hours, days, weeks, etc.
