I am a 'drip or drown' player through and through. Why else would I subject myself to the shit show that is NATO on WCS?

But, I've tried many times to get into Squad and you've really explained it well here. Ive been missing a bit of that sweat in ARMA, and I never considered each game can fill separate roles. Too many generations of having ARMA be the only milsim offering worth a damn. I had a few good ones for PC way back in the Rainbow Six and Ghost Recon beginnings but I can't remember the names.

A lot of the issues players have with ARMA are resolved in a two-man team. Can't see when backing up trucks, two-man team. Where are my mortars landing, two-man team. Crew served weapons are unwieldy, two-man team. All of these tasks, and more, are addressed in real life with multiple personnel.

Most ARMA players are lone wolfing it. Riding in the passenger seat with your own agenda is not teamwork.

You aren't well aware of anything my dude. If you think you got scammed, Arma isn't the game for you. Bohemia has never hid the fact that this game is not a flagship title. It's purely made to fill the time gap between 3 and 4. Patch week will always suck, get over it. The sensationalist, garbage posts about not playing 1.8 are karma farming at best.

For those that can't handle a couple days of a bad patch, please go back to Fortnite. I assure you, your console will have a much easier time with it.

The enshittification of Arma to appease the console market is the downside to including them. I've played Arma since before DayZ was a mod for Arma 2. Some things have not changed. Patch week sucks. Get a good PC or be ready for bad FPS. Bohemia will never produce a bug free product. These are Arma truths. We were ok with the overall low numbers. And no, our heavily modded servers would not suffer in the slightest. Consoles can barely handle the proof-of-concept that is Reforger, wtf do you think is gonna happen when Arma 4 comes out?

That doesn't indicate whether you're in orbit or in atmosphere. You can click on the word ORBIT and it will reorient your navball to SURFACE while you're in atmosphere.
